I'd almost always normally agree but I think it's a slightly different dynamic. He's getting a TON of love and hype due to the HBCU aspect. I think if he's going to enjoy that and eventually capitalize off of it professionally then he owes them a few years before jumping ship if other opportunities arise.

It's a free country and I'm not the one to tell anyone what's best for their family or whatnot but I don't think the narrative or legacy should be Deion Sanders Savior of HBCU Football if the dude is just itching for a P5 job.

Lol man who says prime is the savior of HBCUs😂. I get what your saying..at least I think I do. But at the end of the day it’s a business. Prime I’m sure is fine financially. So if he’s fine coaching at that level for the next 20 years he’s secure. I doubt he doesn’t want to test himself against the best tho.

Haha. I'M not saying that as it's obviously an absurd notion but HBCU football IS getting more attention now than ever in the eyes of people that know no better and Sanders is responsible for a very large part of that. So he's now basically the beneficiary of all that shine which is why I made my original point about sticking around long enough to essentially earn it.

I think Jackson State got like 60k for their homecoming game and were averaging north of 30k for their normal home games. Will be interesting to see if they offer Sanders a new deal or something right away as one would assume with Hunter that those numbers will only grow next year along with other sources of revenue.

I know Penny got that job strictly for recruiting purposes (which he’s been great at). But, to hire a guy with only middle school and HS coaching experience as head coach at Memphis was an awful decision

You may want to put pump the breaks on the Penny bashing bus brother.Why you tryin to hate on the man homie? The dude has only been the head coach at Memphis for 3 seasons and each year he's led his squad to 20 win seasons. He even won the NIT championship last year in only his 3rd season as a college head coach. Penny is doing a great job at Memphis so far. He's absolutely loved by the fans and players alike and is held in high esteem by his colleagues. Bashing a dude that is successful just because you can is a bad look bro. I'd get where you're coming from if his teams weren't winning but dam dog. He's done nothing but good things at Memphis since he's been there. Oh yeah. *** Deion!! Lol
