Coach Prime Presser tomorrow.

Some of yall just real like weird and I can tell.

Prayers to him. 🙏🏾
I was expecting worse. A couple of the usual suspects were either banned or purgatoried and that’s contributed positively but it seems nearly all posters are being decent human beings and wishing him well health-wise, which is how it should be. I mean all of us have dealt with health issues in our lives whether it be us, family, friends… I’m glad his prospects for recovery are good.

congrats on beating cancer.

But a press conference with doctors. Just go to media day and said I'm feeling as good as I have over the past "x" amount of months and I'm ready to go.
That doesn't get the message out that bladder cancer is the 4th most common cancer in men and to get checked. To go to doctors since men don't like to do that, etc. It also shuts off the rumor mill as much as possible.

Also we complain about coach speak, and he was transparent about his issues -- so some will hate that, too -- mostly because it is Deion.

Take care of yourself man. I’ve dealt with some similar stuff and have APS. Every day you wake up is a good day. 😊

Yes sir. I've been tested for APS and thus far I don't have it, but I had some mix results two years ago after failed attempt to remove blood clot resulted in me suffering cardiac arrest and stroke, which led me to lose function on right side of body, and left me disabled and unemployed. All of this after getting vaxxed. Also, became allergic to Heparin which was catalyst for stroke. Like you, every day I wake up is a blessed day. I have become reflective and introspective regarding life. I wish nothing but the best for you and, of course, other folks dealing with this including Mr. Sanders.

/Sorry for the digression.

Yep. Should, but often don't.
Without one, the government gets to decide who gets your stuff. often in a lengthy probate process. Think about your kids hanging on without access to your bank accounts or safe deposit box. And I'm sure everyone is adequately insured.

Diabetes is no joke. I found myself prediabetic last year and immediately had to make changes to my diet. All I drink is water now, and if I really need something sweet, I'll have one piece of 85% cacao dark chocolate. I went from 270 to 205, I still need to get down to 175-180 (I'm 5'10.) I know people that have lost fingers, toes, feet and have even died from diabetic complications.

Hopefully it's not serious to the point that he'll never be able to coach again.
I was borderline pre-diabetic...I'm about 5'11 and I was up to 196, I'm down to 171, trying to get to 165....it's not easy...just drinking water, and liquid death teas.

and just eating less. I've been stuck on 171-172 for a little bit...hard to get below that currently...I guess nearly 49 Year old me is harder to get down to 20 something year old fighting weight...think I'll add some exercise.

In the end I am glad he kicked it. I dont wish ill on almost anyone. Ill just leave it at that...I know we have some massive Deion fans so I dont want to ruffle feathers.

Pretty awesome honestly that he got to see last season through with his son at QB

Battling health and getting to do that. I know he’s a deeply religious man so I gotta think that would be about the pinnacle of his life right there

I am glad that he got the bladder removed and it was the right thing to do.

My great Uncle and two Uncles (one of them is my favourite) beat the bladder cancer by having them surgically removed. Last year I got my bladder tested for cancer; as a result, it was negative. I am taking the test every two years on it.

he tried that. it was filled with rumors and reports that his health was declining.

in florida, it still goes through probate but with a will depending on the estate size I think, it falls under the quick process.

This crazy, man. He may never go another day feeling good. He has NO BLADDER in his body anymore.

Craziness to post this no matter what you think of Deion. COME ONNNN MANNN.

Well said, brother.

I don’t think some of you realize the severity of this.

Sounds like he had a radical cystectomy - they removed his entire bladder.

This is serious surgery and there’s no guarantee that the cancer won’t come back. In fact, cancer recurrence is not unusual at all, even in cases that are non-muscle invasive, like his.

Not only that, but now he has to spend the rest of his life with either a bag or some other device to collect his urine. I feel really bad for him and his family. It’s going to take all his strength and their support to help him through this.

When my mom passed last year .. nothing went to probate... Thankfully she handled all paperwork stuff accordingly.... Everything that transpired after she passed went smooth as can be..... I was very thankful for not having any added stress during the death process...

Yea man, horrible situation for Prime and his family. No one should have to suffer through health situations like that. If you're pre- or diabetic and your doc can get you on a GLP-1, do it. In most cases it helps you lose significant weight. If insurance won't cover it, go grey market. Reddit is your friend.

Nothing to apologize for! APS is nuts, and most people have never heard of it. I don’t understand why they don’t test all pregnant women for it when it’s a simple blood test. I didn’t get diagnosed (by an rheumatologist!) until a year and a half ago, and we now know that it caused a pregnancy loss, and severe postpartum eclampsia with my second pregnancy. My son and I were both incredibly lucky to have survived my pregnancy, but it also left me permanently disabled (coma, status epilepticus, tons of brain damage, heart attack, thalamic stroke, and so much more since, as I’m sure you can relate…). I had to teach myself to read all over again and I don’t really remember most of my kid’s first few years (he’s 8 now).

It’s true that this stuff makes you very introspective though. I was such a workaholic before all this happened that sometimes I think there’s a blessing in that at least I’m forced to have so much time with my son now. I definitely would have been a very different parent had I stayed healthy and was working the grind.

Take care of yourself, and feel free to reach out whenever you need to talk or vent! I get the ups and downs of disability, and so much of it is mental. (Being allergic to Heparin though - yikes!) I wish the best for you and yours as well, my friend!

Wow, sorry you had to go through this and are still dealing with these health issues. I'm glad you're with us though and I'm sure your son and all family members feel blessed and well. Yes, my hematologist initially stated the COVID vax had anything to do with my condition. A year later 2 of 3 APS proved positive so I have to test every few years. She now warns me not to ever take anymore vaccines, not just for COVID, flu, shingles, any and everything. Anyways, feel free to reach out anytime as my wife (retired nurse) and me are fired up about this.

I don’t know about other states, but Florida is pretty simple on intestate probate, if you are married with children. It’s per stirpes and the government has little say.

Now if you die intestate without a spouse or with a prenup and only extended family, whoa Nellie!

But I agree wholeheartedly on getting a will, especially if you and your spouse die at the same time.
