Coach Kuligowski Touting His Bona Fidis

Meh, I knew he was overrated when pretty much every aspect of our defense improved from 2017 (his last year here) to 2018. He was specifically supposed to be some kind of “sack specialist” and we went from 23rd in the category to first without him.

I went through that Twitter feed yesterday, and I have to say, I actually felt sorry for the guy.

I don’t know what he did, or didn’t do, vis-à-vis his current employment, and some supposed drunken rant, versus a female staffer, but to be 50 years old, almost a full career, and have to post something like that, it’s just sad. It was like sad, embarrassing, cringe, and desperate, all at the same time. I don’t say this to demean him, nor to discount a possibly serious mistake or transgression, it’s just something where I say, man if I was in that position, I’d really have to be desperate to put that out in public like that.
 
His work speaks for itself. I didnt know he was in the MAC though. Bama to the MAC, wtf. He gonna be ranting about woke soon. Every middle age or old dude cries woke to avoid accountability its funny when i see it. Like everything u did was fine until people got woke.

That doesn't justify anything, but you've gotta apologize, make amends, and move on. It shouldn't define him and everyone can make positive change.

They didnt fire him cuz of that. He doubled back because she reported him before. Why man cant apologize and move on is beyond me.

Yeah, I'm not defending Kuligowski 100% or ripping him 100%. I think he made a mistake, and I have no idea if there were similar past occurrences that made this one "the final straw". But Kool "retaliating" over what he perceived to be a staffer who reported him previously for an inappropriate statement...indicates he may not have the best judgment on boundaries in the workplace.

But I will say this...if what I've heard is true...if this AD told Candle last year "I'm gonna fire your whole staff if you go to Miami"...and now THIS with Kuligowski...it does sound like the AD is a hardass who is going to do everything his way (or the highway)...

Thanks for the background on the situation, I honestly was not aware of the A.D./Candle relationship, or apparently lack of one. Is there any credible talk of him as a serious candidate for us?

I never started reading that thread, and now that it’s so long, I don’t even know where to start. I’ll look on page 325, though, thank you. My attitude is who’s ever going to be hired is going to be hired and I’ll make my judgment or be happy or not happy about it then.

Yeah, read the last 25-50 pages. Skip all the stuff about Eastbound and Down/Vice Principals/Righteous Gemstones and it will go MUCH faster.
