Coach Kool had 2 1st team Freshman AA this year

The Football Writers Association of America named their freshman All American team and 2 of the 4 DL were from Missouri which shows how quickly he develops talent. Looking forward to seeing our new DL

And, one of them was a 2 star recruit (Rivals).

This. The day of the Miami model of winning at the U then going to the NFL is over because talent is spread more thin and kids want to play for established coaches. Don't think we could have made a better choice in that regard.
 
More importantly, Walter Brady was a 2* recruit this past year and he made it happen. Terry beckner Jr was a 5* and he got the most out of them. It's incredible how good of a coach he is. I have never been more impressed by a college position coach
 
I truly believe Kool would not have come here if he wasn't on board with the DC hire. Not saying Diaz was the #1 target, but between him and Aranda, Richt had to have gotten him to sign off.

Best in the business. He might be good enough to turn Diaz into a successful DC. The fact he took 2 freshmans and got immediate excellent results with them tells you how great he is.
 
after QB, DL is probably the most important unit on the team.

proof? look at the NFL draft/salaries.

right behind QBs in importance is the guys getting after them.
 
If he can replicate his success in Mizzo down here, then I do believe he'll go down as the best to ever do it. Man was born to coach d lines.

Hope he knows an Off. Line guy in case ours doesn't pan out...Our best teams were when the defensive lines ate our offensive lines in practice...
 
If Kool and Manny can get this level of play from our boys it get me excited! Coach Kool working with DLinemen and Manny with LB'ers plus an attacking scheme? Can't wait to see the boys come spring game

The man gets positive results from his players, cant wait to see what becomes of our DLinemen
 
He played OL at Toledo. He probably has a bit of a feel of what a quality OL looks and plays like....

I don't think Odom had much of a choice as Coach Kool wanted the DC job after 2014 season.
No room for both guys in one program, and Odom was appointed HC so Kool had to leave.
Good for us!

I think we may something similar at VT with Bud Foster and the new staff brought in by
Fuente, as the new HC brought in his own DC from Memphis.
We shall see.
