Coach Diaz with Joe Rose show

Didn’t they offer Diaz 1.5 million when Richt was making 4 million?

I don’t buy the “cheap” talk.

Manny got the HC job in 8 hours with no interviews conducted, so obviously there's favoritism there when it comes to Manny. Just because administration was willing to give 1.5mil to Manny as a coordinator dont expect them to feel the same towards someone else

Wrong. Just an interested Cane that has an opinion that may be contrary to the popular opinion of most homers on this site. In a matter of time most posters on cis will question the performance of Diaz as they have done with the past 4 coaches. You guys now drinking the kool aid, but things are not changing at the U that will meet your expectations.

Sounds like you really got the inside scoop.

Troll season at an all time high.

I would imagine with all the leaks last week he plugged them and is keeping everything tight. Especially (and hopefully) some of the assistant coaches are on staffs elsewhere and doesn’t want thing to be known until the ink dries.

He plugged those leaks tight. It's like Fort Knox right now. Truth is, nobody knows **** about anything.

He's saying it'll be together by this weekend to start recruiting which is the key. For all we know some recruits know some of whos getting hired but it's all on the low I doubt it but you never know. Main key I see is Manny wants the staff news private until it's done

Which is cool with me, he took a shot at all the “sources” in the beginning of the interview lol

Perhaps dumpster fire is still lit pertaining to Canes football. We are not a desirable choice for most coaches and most top High School recruits. New dc is a buddy of Diaz, easy hire. La tech, garbage program, so job at once mighty Miami looked good to a non power 5 coach. As for search for new offensive coordinator, some guys Diaz was considering has turned down the job. As of today no solid prospect is close to signing on the dotted line.

Speculation is a wonderful thing isn't it

Why are you here? You're clearly not a Miami fan. I don't understand why the mods allow this ****.

CIS is like the Wild West but with haters and trolls. So tired of the negative schtick, no where near cool or funny as y'all sad sacks think it is.

15 years of having a bad football program and 4 failed coaches in a row tends to make a fan cynical of our recent coaching hire. Most fans had positive vibes when Coker, Shannon, Golden and Richt were hired. It did not take long to see that these 4 coaches were unable to put the Canes back to their former glory. Then Cis posters turned on the hires. We have the same powers that is running this program. Until I see things have changed at the U I am pessimistic that things will improve.IMO Diaz was a lazy hire. Let us see what the next few years will reveal.

Yeah, he's definitely paying attention or being told what's being said. Shot fired across the bow at the beginning of the interview.

We could have rushed it and threw a lot of money at KK like USCw and now be stuck in the position they are in. Just like he said when it comes to recruiting if your not at the caliber we want or need we arent just going to take you cause we have the spot for you. As of now he deserves the benefit of the bout till he proves otherwise.

Miami in exactly same spot as USCw at this point in time, OC less

I know the history isn't a good one but I really hope that Manny forces them to reconsider their usual penny wise and a pound foolish approach.

I mean, Manny is making much less than Mork. The DC can't be breaking the bank. Mork didn't strap us to his buyout. We did pay 4.5M to Temple Tough for Manny but Soffer was reportedly willing to shell out $10M to Oregon for Wario.

This is a no fûcking brainer. Trying to save $1M or so and strap a new HC coming from Defense with uncertainty on Offense, when Offense was horrific, would be ****ing everything else away... developing, winning and recruiting, specifically.

Let's hope Manny has his OC, who's a good choice, and he is now in the next phase - trying to get the Seiders of the world in the fold.

Bruh why do you even post here?

And you're basing that on what? Your desire to be negative?

You dont find it fishy that we can hire a HC in less than 10 hours but it's taking over a week to hire an OC???? For Manny we can get T's crossed and I's dotted in a manner of hours. But for an OC there's a hold up. Somethings up

It was easy to land Manny because our competition was only Temple.

No. I appreciate your investigative skills but I'll actually panic if we make a ****** hire or idk, if we don't have 1 by next week or something. Took days to announce Baker after we first saw online reports. I'm still trusting that it will be Major until someone on here with some actually authority tells me otherwise.
