Posters here would of negged you if you said Manny didn't score a date with Jessica Alba. It's impossible for people to turn down Manny, he's the next Dabo!

We love to make things harder than they are. What in the **** would it hurt to announce the OC?

If the OL coach flakes, how does that impact us knowing/not knowing the OC?

I just don't understand the logic.
 
Manny also stated that he isn't planning to take just anybody in recruiting. “We have a limited number of scholarships to give and you have to make sure that you are giving it to the right guy," "We do not have to reach on a player. We do not have to just panic and run into the store and grab the first thing that’s on the shelf. We have met on recruiting this week with the staff we have on campus and if these guys aren’t good enough to help us win the game we have to win in Charlotte against the team everyone watched play on Monday night, then we don’t have to take them."

Because people are desperate to be right lol my giveaway is if Stef was wrong he'd take a step back but he didnt and then more reports came out and nobodys refutted it since. I think its moreso about the oline/te hire which we haven't heard much about

There is no doubt that the solution to that problem may be on our campus right now, but we have to make sure we examine all possible solutions and we do create competition, whether that is from the outside, and whoever comes from the outside isn’t guaranteed anything.
"It is going to get back to the way it was,” Diaz said. “It is going to get back to Greentree Practice Field and winning out there. Playing college quarterback is tough, but playing at the University of Miami—you look at the great teams of the past and they weren’t winning with just an ok guy at quarterback. They were winning with big time guys. This was Quarterback-U for a long time. That is the straw that stirs the drink. We have to create the most competition at that spot.”

The "Fairweather Fan" thread I made was directed towards guys like him. People like that low-key post on the Alabama message board too and are a fan of them but are waiting for Miami to be back so they can act like they never lost faith and was here the whole time.
 
Can somebody show me a quote where Manny said he would have the offensive staff in place by Thursday??? He didn't say it in his press conference. This is what Manny had to say in his presser regarding the timing on hiring the OC:

" The timing for when it will happen is when it’s going to happen. I am not interested in it happening fast, I am interested in it happening ‘right.’ It’s going to be the person that’s the right fit for the program. There are other outside factors at play in terms of when certain people will be available. But the hire will be announced when the hire is right. All that matters to me is that we get the right person in the right position."


Some of you guys just love to hand wring. I thought we wanted him to take his time and get these hires right??? The only information that has come out is speculation. I wouldn't make any summary judgments on whether Manny is getting these hires right or ******** them up based on internet speculation. People love to troll us. Gruden to the Canes, players notified!! Right?

Here's what not enough people are saying if we didn't have a qb coach Plumlee wouldn't have been offered especially if the qb coach would have a preference on height and size. The staff is almost done

Truth. There's a reason that everything has kind of went radio silent since the story broke about Applewhite. Everything since then has been all fan conjecture. I personally like it. It shows that Manny knows how to keep his sh*t in house. Let's at least wait until the official announcement before we start b*tching about it.

One of the media writers quotes Diaz saying that he wanted to have the staff fully completed by Thursday when the dead period ends

We've heard the "we don't offer just anyone" mantra for a decade.
At some point, we have to fill a team. We're basically sanctioning ourselves.

You're right, we probably don't lose anything by waiting. But what are we gaining?
