Manny was on the Joe Rose Show this morning. No hint as to who the OC will be but Rose sure tried to get him to spill the beans. Manny mentioned it could even go into the weekend before an announcement is made due to making sure all the T's are crossed and I's dotted and that assembling an O staff takes time. He also talked about recruiting and seemed genuinely positive about getting Miami caliber players. Good listen.

Perhaps dumpster fire is still lit pertaining to Canes football. We are not a desirable choice for most coaches and most top High School recruits. New dc is a buddy of Diaz, easy hire. La tech, garbage program, so job at once mighty Miami looked good to a non power 5 coach. As for search for new offensive coordinator, some guys Diaz was considering has turned down the job. As of today no solid prospect is close to signing on the dotted line.

I would imagine with all the leaks last week he plugged them and is keeping everything tight. Especially (and hopefully) some of the assistant coaches are on staffs elsewhere and doesn’t want thing to be known until the ink dries.

He's saying it'll be together by this weekend to start recruiting which is the key. For all we know some recruits know some of whos getting hired but it's all on the low I doubt it but you never know. Main key I see is Manny wants the staff news private until it's done
