No. Fans thought that because Miami has top 20 talent, and cmu has bottom 20 talent, it wouldn’t be close.

CMU is a middle of the pack MAC team at best. They are a bad team.

Stars must matter since Bama and Georgia risk bags trying to attain high caliber high school kids!

My point is we have stars we just don’t have coaching and haven’t had competent coaching coaching since 2004

all of that has nothing to do with our tackling, penalties, misuse of personnel and lack of pressure. The team looks undisciplined.
 
CMU would be a middle of the pack team in the coastal lol this division is a total joke, UVA was losing to Old Dominion throughout the game and barely won playing at home.

They don't make thick enough coke bottle fan glasses to imagine CMU being an underrated team of that proportion.

College football has changed... the small/mid tier schools are a lot more competitive. Multiple players on CMU obviously had something to prove and Miami came in flat with really nothing to play for... the felt the game was over early and just went through the motions. With that said, coaches have to hold them accountable and yank them for lazy effort and lack of focus. The amount of penalties are the alarming part for me... critical penalties that cost us points. That has to get corrected.

Lets not forget, Pittsburgh and Syracuse came in as major underdogs and beat Clemson, OSU got drilled by Purdue. I can forgive them for CMU. We just cant see that effort against an ACC opponent. This is another learning experience for the players and the coaches.

With that said, if we lose to VTech at home, the gloves come off. There is no excuse that game is close.
