CMR on Joe Rose - 11/12

RIcht is beaten. He started to say that he doesn't Credit the D enough and in the same breath, he starts criticizing them?? How at the end they needed a stop on D but GT was able to run 6 minutes off the clock, and how it was 4th & 7 but they jumped offsides to make it 4th & 2. Why mention that??

He sounds dejected and outright confused.

Was watching the game with my father and he said the same when he saw him on TV.
He said he looked defeated and confused.

I literally would rather have Al Golden back

I'm not even kidding

You think wrong. Golden didn't do a dam thing and lasted 5 years. I haven't been following. Are there any sources saying that he's considering making staff changes? I mean I want the guy gone, but realistically that ain't happening. Hopefully he brings in a young, dynamic offensive coordinator, but he'd have to get rid of someone on the offensive staff and he probably doesn't have the balls to do it.
Golden had the cloud and no good coach would come to any school in the middle of probation with less scholarships. This is a completely different situation.

I honestly have no clue what Richt will/won't do at this point. It seems he bit off more than he can chew. Dealing with the new facilities, HC, calling plays, etc., etc., etc. Certainly not making excuses for him, but that's the reality for me.

It makes me think of a Led Zepplin song, "Dazed and Confused. Richt really seems like it's taking a toll on him - self-inflicted mind you.

Richt is not a bad guy. He's just in over his head.

Any chance of kicking him upstairs to some position where he isn't killing the football program?

We should give Richt the Spurrier treatment. Make him the “ ambassador and consultant” for the UM athletic dept. No statue of course.

Rickety is a low T guy with low expectations. He’s a confirmed and devout loser who has lowered the bar to “hey, guys, we competed hard but were overmatched by _______(insert ACC dreg team).”

How long did it take UF to fire McEltooth after he won his division twice?
Other schools dont ***** around as soon as things are clear . Miami needs a new AD and a president that gives a **** about having a championship football program.

Heard the entire interview today while and almost got into a few accidents. (LOL) I'm happy I canceled my season tickets for next year because this program is headed SOUTH. The man has lost all humility and basically doesn't take the blame for anything. Skirted around several questions and without a doubt gave me the impression he will be calling plays for a long time. Really had ZERO answers for the problems mentioned by Joe. He talks like he is in a COMA and doesn't articulate at all. The guy is totally washed up and HE IS THE ULTIMATE REASON WHY THIS PROGRAM IS FLOUNDERING. Kept on harping about the turnovers but wouldn't answer the question about coaching players to make plays, have poise, and play with discipline. I thought I would never say this but he is worse than Randy and Golden.

Y’all pay too much attention to interviews. CMR is done and he knows it but what the **** do you expect him to say? You don’t talk brave after a four game losing streak and you don’t get too bleak with a game on Saturday.

I expect him to be two games out of retirement. He’s done

I would have agreed 2 games ago, but now? What do I expect? At the very least an acknowledgement that he knows things are fcked up right now. I know he's supposed to stay positive, but he just looks retarded trying to say that we're just a tweak away from where we should be.

I've given the guy as much room as anyone. I was the first one to call people out last year when we would luck into a win. It was year 2 and we couldn't expect to be all that good, so a win was a win. And I still don't agree with people who want to say they knew early last year that he sucked. Dude deserved time to fix this sht. Even this year, he could have kept me onboard by acknowledging that we weren't where we should be and keeping Perry the starter.

Instead he's both acted like there's almost nothing wrong and run around like a chicken with it's head cut off switching QBs left and right. He's all calm and keeps guys in the game when they are clear fumbling hazards, but benches a young QB as soon as he makes a mistake. And benches him for a guy who makes his own mistakes.

Fck. Everybody knows this sht, I'm just wasting keystrokes at this point.

Unless he can make real changes and light a fire under his team he has to go. And I have no confidence that he can do those things, so...

Agree with this, don't think he realized it was gonna be this tough, thought he could be atop the ACC pretty easy compared to where he was. Now he has created a major **** storm and he don't know wtf to do about it but realizes its gonna take a major effort, everybody has turned on him in year 3 and he's pretty much right back where he was at the end of UGA. Does he want to put forth THAT much effort, he already looks beat down bad, realizes he's gonna have to change everything, that's everything, or he can take his millions and walk away, no more pressure. I think he retires...
Interesting take. I don’t think there’s enough pressure this year for him to retire. He’ll make a few minor changes in personnel and put out the same inconstant product next year. Then who knows what changes take place.

I agree, unfortunately. IDGAF what dude thought it was going to be. You are getting paid $4mil/year....he needs to cowboy the fück up and make serious changes, or GTF out the way.
