The only thing I can think of that makes any sense is that hes' got a personal issue. Maybe family related, who knows? It literally makes zero sense to transfer now for football reasons.

The Cleveland Steamer was a pretty highly touted recruit if I remember correctly. Our scouting department sure hits on alotta busts or is that just me?

Seems that way especially on the Oline. Hope Butch Barry has a better eye for talent.

Dam days of developing players and having depth are dam near over.. no immediate pt and they bouncing.. hard to build a program like that.. communication is gonna have to be key and that might not help with outside noise..

Counter that with playing time and multiple rotations. Obviously we can’t do that right now because our 2nd team isn’t capable of doing it.

The answer to everyone hitting the portal is “who”, “don’t need him”, “frees up a scholarship”. We have been exactly 2 deep 0 times along the OL for a minute. Maybe ppl forget, but this is a contact sport in which anyone can get touched or lose a spot at any time....especially in the trenches.

Eh, I'd hate to lose him now for depth purposes but we're hardly the only team that loses kids via transfer. Weren't we all just complaining in the preseason that this team had 50 guards but no tackles?

There's a tackle committed to Ole Miss they're trying to flip, not sure what other interior guys are on our board if any.

Much ado about nothing. The kid lost a possible starting position to TWO TRUE freshmen. Nevertheless, I give the kid the best of hope and maybe he'll be a starter at his next school.

And yes, Diaz and Barry have an urgent task to sign some quality HS offensive linemen in 2020. Seeing that Cane fan is mentioning the lack of depth and what not.

This was a kid we were clamoring for, but now he’s trash? Could it possibly be our player development hasn’t been up to snuff? We were happy w this portal situation, but now this chit is coming back on us.

Wasn’t he the weight lifting champ? Really don’t understand this decision in the middle of the season.

The sooner you transfer, the sooner you become eligible at the new school, is my understanding. The NCAA has made it so there is disincentive to stay through the season.

This is what happens when you just slap rules together by knee jerk reaction every time something happens that you don't like. It's called the law of unintended consequences, and no body other than US Congress is as good at creating negative unintended consequences that are worse than the original problem than the good ole NC two A.

Sucks to lose this guy, everyone told us he looked like a beast who was going to be an important cog in our oline, but it never panned out. Obviously.

This just sucks, man.

Our roster balance has been terrible since Radio took over. Now add in the new transfer portal and it just continues.

This is a bad loss. I don’t blame the loss on the staff, but if there is one area on every team where roster balance is needed, it’s on both lines.
