Clemson is dead last in the ACC in passing, yards per completion, passing efficiency, time of possession, scoring offense, total offense, first downs and second to last on the ground.

Amazing what a great QB and RB can do for you. IIRC the new QB was even mentioned as a Heisman candidate.

It's normal for college football. The problem is the last decade has taught us to think the good teams will be good until eternity. You can't hit on every prospect, people don't pan out. Outside of Alabama, Clemson, and maaaybe Ohio State, every other team that has ever been part of the college football national championship conversation the last decade have had 3 and 4 loss seasons.

They usually end the same way, really good players masking serious problems that don't get addressed because the team performs well. But then those guys leave and it hits like a ton of bricks.

There is/was a crazy stat about how long its been since Clemson had an OL drafted, period. At some point you need trench bullies, all the 5* talent at skill positions and scheming can only mask deficiencies on the OL for so long before it catches up to you.

We're not in a completely dissimilar situation currently but Lashlee doesn't scheme to mask our OL problems, he just gives it to Cam straight up Scaife's *** out of spite.

Edit: here it is. Pretty crazy considering their run of success during that span.

This is the very reason why, if UM makes the right HC move, it could be the Canes time to run the ACC. The Noles ran it for a while, then Clemp'sson had it for a while and we can run it for a while if the school commits to a fresh start for their athletics across the board and especially for football.

They’re starting to look like a lot like us circa 2005-2006, still have some bad boys on D but their O is trash. mediocre skill guys, trash o line and a tight end masquerading as a QB

The new QB has all the natural gifts, but he reminds me of when Miami had Kyle Wright. All the physical tools but he processes things slow, and he holds the ball, he is unsure of himself. Clemson OL hasn't been good, they can't run block.
BINGO! And Miami's suspect OL is the reason, among others, WHY Coach Lashlee has been relatively HANDCUFFED with his play calling. Because any organic veggie couch coach can reason that ANY offensive success is PREDICATED on the offensive line!! And that inference applies to HS football up to the NFL. Peace.

Also, I SEE-r mighty Clemson being handed another conference loss later this season. Nevertheless, no matter what Paul, and like-minded Clemson apologist have to say about Clemson and a LONGSHOT appearance in the major CFB playoff's. IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. For example, TWO mighty SEC teams, and probably Oregon. Then it's anybody's guess about the next CFB playoff team.

And he doesn't have Travis Etienne this year.

Their fans, and some sportscasters are roasting Tony Elliott and Dabo for their "archaic" offense. They want a change.

Stating the obvious but a bit like FSU

Shows just how valuable guys like Winston and Lawrence actually are. Or Cam winning a title for Chizik

Not that they didn’t have help but we just haven’t seen much at the position in so long

Breaking in a new qb who isn't on the level of Deshaun, Trevor, or even Tahj right now, said new QB not being the mask for a poor offensive line like Trevor was, and correct me if im not mistaken, but didn't someone mention that their offensive scheme has been pretty stagnant for a few years?

Yeah but they have Dabo, an administration, and a fan base of cousin ******* e r s that will literally give up their firstborns for a ring, while we've hired a succession of 5 terrible head coRches beginning with Elmer Fudd...SMH!!!

Yet after all that Clemson is 2-2 and looking awful in the process.
