Clemson, UGA to open 2021

ACC is a joke.

Miami should press for the game to be played at Hard Rock. It's a terrible home stadium for us, but it's good for "neutral" big ticket events like the ACCCG.

There is absolutely no reason for it to be played in Carolina every single year. But in this world, suckers get rolled. And Blake James is the sucker. So Miami gets nothing it wants from the ACC and the Carolina schools get everything they want from Miami. They benefit from our prestige, our brand power, and our TV market. In return, we get to play in the worst division of the worst conference in NCAA football, with boring matchups. We get unfavorable treatment by the refs. And we get the play the ACCCG in North Carolina instead of Miami.

The whole tobacco road mafia thing exists only because Miami (and FSU) are too incompetent and terrible at negotiating to put their foot down and demand better.

Blake James is stupid and weak. A terrible combination.

The ACC title game was originally in Jacksonville because there were supposed to be a bunch of FSU vs Miami matchups. They ultimately moved it to Charlotte because it's a more central location, and there weren't any Miami vs FSU matchups. In fact, the ACC title game began in 2005 (there was no title game in 2004 since BC hadn't joined yet), and Miami didn't make the ACC title game until 2017.

And the ACC certainly isn't going to have it's title game at Hard Rock. It's an even less central location than Jacksonville was. And, given it's Miami's home stadium, they can't even claim it's a neutral location like they can somewhat weakly claim about Charlotte.

I don't really think Miami football has half as much "prestige" or "brand power" as you're claiming anyway. Traditional CFB powers don't have #15-20 recruiting rankings or have trouble filling up 2/3 of their stadium even during extended down periods.
