Clemson is our equal

i don't know y i keep doing this to myself, but i still like this team and think UNC lost was bad combo of a rough matchup for our defense and 2 backbreaking turnovers in the second half on the road (plus another one in the first half, lol). i expect the elder brown to play more at CB, and clemson much weaker than UNC at WR. better at DE though with x. thomas and that freshman passrusher tho. block them and we win....maybe? mario got to win a conference game at home at some point

Can we just presume Clemson will be another loss like we did in the off season? I don’t want to see another bunch of shocked faces on Saturday or Sunday.
I’m not optimistic until next season.

I had Clemson, UNC as losses b4 szn nothing changed.

GT though,.....sheesh lol

Those 2 arent good matchups EVER for what we do. They both are always extremely big on BOTH lines, they run tempo on offense, and play above their levels to us because they have an inferiority hate for us that we dont for them.

9-3 is a success and ill give Mario his flowers. it means we overcame adversity that was self induced.

however, this team no matter who is on the sidelines has never shown that fight aside from a few instances (richt winning 4 straight after losing 4 straight after winning 4 straight in 2016), the kids finishing off the season post king injury, etc. there are always long losing streaks that end up happening with this stuff that snowballs.

We all thought GT was a win and most had A&M as a loss. Welcome to Miami. How many seasons do we beat the teams we are supposed to?

Drake Maybe b4 we improved his draft status like we always do UNC players was "mid" stat wise. Dare i say...Tvd and him were around the same level of play and qbr.

We may can dedicate mor eto the box hopefully..the issue i see though is they have better runners int he backfield and better ol play. Im all for blitzing the **** out of the Klubnick dude and living and dying with the 50/50 balls at this point. lol

Those big plays we gave up for touchdowns...we were sort of conservative...even the bi gones against gt that wont hem the game.

our secondary aint good....FORCE THE ISSUE.

This team has beat itself twice in 2 weeks and has gone to great lengths to do it. It’s honestly impressive

Drake didnt make 1 pass that wowed me during the game...**** tvd actually did as mid as he played. Alot of yall are overrating the **** out of Drake Maye because every UNC qb kills us, We just gave him life and now him getting Walker back should help his stats a lot now.

Clemson will be able to run the ball just as well as UNC did. Klubnik can run just as good as Maye did...Clemson wr's are big n tall....Jaden Davis wills till be small and slow. Our safeties will still be overcompensating in the run game or short routes, with over head shots available for clemson.

I dont see Maye as a top 3 pick. He is likely a first rounder though.

Wont have to be that fast. We have some dbs that play that are small AND slow. This is why i say we need to blitz alot we dont need them having time to get into routes and also expecting those little dudes to tackle those guys consistently.

I knew in mah guts by the middle of the second quarter of GT that we were a 6-6 team this year.
 
Until you beat someone you can’t and won’t be considered their equal especially a team that has trashed you for whatever how many years it’s been going on….want to be their equal? beat them but until then we can’t be considered anything but a little sister to a big brother….
