Yep, but this is the problem when you botch something in the manner that they did against GT.
In every other alternate reality, we are 5-1 with a 10 point loss on the road to an undefeated team that has a Top 3 NFL player playing QB for it. Disappointing to lose any game, for sure. But the sky is not exactly falling, you've got the premier ACC team for the past decade coming into your building for a night game, and it should be a close game. Let's go win that one and we're rolling.
HOWEVER....since you fisted your own *** on national TV for the world to see and laugh at, you no longer have a safety net. Now you're a 4-2 team with back to back ACC losses and if you lose this game on Saturday, even though it's to the team that has won this league like 18 times in a row, you're going to have people waiting in line to rip your face off. It's the reason that the GT game just cannot, under any circumstances, happen at this level.
But it did, and my god is the Clemson game important now if you want to salvage any kind of season or momentum for your program.
