North Carolina does not play this week.
Miami will beat Central Michigan.
Thus, it seems like we would get the 7:30 games if Clemson wins at Cal on Friday night.

Do we want Clemson at night? Not really worried about them but feel like we get out easier with a noon game. Spookier things happen at night in Death Valley

Better for Media Money at end of year… but on field I can see earlier being better - as long as it’s not us that comes out sleepy.

It’s pretty well proven optimal time to play any sport is night/prime time. So if that is the case also and you have our guys playing their best vs theirs playing their best, I live us, cause we should be significantly better. Like you said they need some spooky reasons basically… I could see that being more likely early except for the crowd aspect which undoubtedly be more impactful at night

Opponent is also a key metric. The teams at the top played an SEC opponent. The SEC gets the lion's share of viewership. That's why Disney is bribing congress to protect the SEC.

Miami played Stanford on a Friday at 9:00.

Miami played FAMU on a Thursday at 8:00.

Miami played Wake on a Friday at 7:30.

This is about as bad as you can get for trying to draw eye balls. I'm absolutely shocked it's that high. I've said it a million times, we have to get out of this conference.

I could see ABC wanting to put ND in the primetime slot since they don't get the chance every game with their NBC contract. ESPN messed up with its time slot of Bama-MSU and before the season made that an early kickoff, otherwise it would definitely be the ABC primetime game.

If they want to diversify out of the SEC is the only chance. Even then, I'd guess they'll be in Iowa City for OSU and Iowa.

They probably already planning for Miami at ND in Nov, so this game makes a lot of sense for them.
