Now I'm "once again caping for an opponent" when I've picked us to finish with like 1 loss or less, think we make the CFP, good shot to win the ACC, and think we beat ND. I've BEEN saying that I think we have a major advantage with them having Carr and I've thought Carr was going to be the starter for months now... lmao. Can't make this ****up. All cause I think the team coming off last years national championship game wont be quaking in their boots like the 2017 team was lol.

Seriously, I have no idea what the **** you're talking about cause whatever argument you made up in your mind isn't grounded in reality whatsoever.

I’m just trying to help bring your vision to life in gif form for the board to better appreciate your vision.

I mean yeah, there’s some intra-Team U/TeamMarioBro fighting going on and I’m sure I’ll capture that in theatrics as well but I am not here to rain on your parade of positivity. You predicted like a 1 or 2 loss season if I recall correctly and I am rooting for you to be right and to shame me and bump my previous 7-8 win predictions at the end of the season.

And truth be told, 8-4 was my previous prediction and that included losses to ND and the gator. I think we beat the gator now because I don’t think Lagway is in healthy form when we play. He’s more injured than they’ve let out so I can already see 9 wins though I’ll stick with where I’m at I guess. And if somehow we beat ND - my whole basis of 8-4 is gone and I’ll expect playoffs. We just need to see what we have on the field. And pray Beck stays healthy.

By all accounts Minchey actually won the QB battle. It has been speculated by the ND media that Freeman wanted Minchey, but OC Denbrock wanted Carr. Carr has the higher ceiling and the vertical passing game that Denbrock wants.

It's clear than Denbrock wants the vertical passing game threat to keep safeties out of the box, creating space for potential explosive runs.from his RBs Love and Price.

The difference between the secondary we had last year and the one who will play next Sunday is like the difference between night and day. Last season may have been the worst secondary that I've ever seen at Miami and that may include the probation era teams. The difference between last year's defensive backfield and probation era was that our probation era secondaries were much better coached. Last year made me long for the days of Nick Ward, Dennis Scott and Jack Halmon.

Last years defense’s ineptitude was the result of a perfect storm consisting of a secondary with little to no talent, Guidry's failure to dumb down his overly complex defense for them and the fact that ACC OC's had film on Guidry. When OCs began to use motion to isolate our poor tackling safeties and our laterally slow LBs, Guidry had no answer. That and the defense had no idea what to do when faced with motion. I'll put it like this.....A really good poster here said "If we are running a defense that is so complex that you cannot get your freakiest LB on the field(Bobby Washington) then you know you have to greatly simplify that defense". Perfectly summed up imo. The result is we ended up with Hetherman who is quite frankly based on what I have seen, exactly what this defense needed.

It's almost a given that we will be exponentially better defensively. Does that mean we will be able to shut down Notre Lame's running game? I don't know that. What I do know is that every unit on defense is significantly upgraded from last year. What I do know is that our Defensive Line has no excuse not to perform at a very high level. I know that this LB group is better than last year's and I know that our secondary specifically CB is loaded and our safeties should be a huge upgrade from last year. Most importantly however, I believe that our defensive coaching staff has improved tremendously. I understand that all of the above is just "on paper" until we actually prove it on the field and that all of the above is just my opinion. What I will say however is that in my opinion, this is our best football team overall since 2003. Does that mean we beat ND, UF, win the ACC and make the playoffs? I don't know. That's why they play the games but I am more excited for this season than I have been in over 20 years. Sunday August 31st can't get here soon enough.

Don’t be fooled. Carr isn’t a statue. He can move around a little bit and extend plays. Good pocket presence. No experience though. tough place for 1st start. ND has more talent on O then recent years

If Minchey still gettting 40% of the reps and they have a lot of “packages” for him then if I was Carr I’d know my leash was very short. That would amp up the pressure to perform knowing the staff is prepped to pull you if you struggle.

At minimum, ND has a game plan for Minchey. It would be absolutely foolish to put all their eggs in a basket for Carr with no plan B. If Carr comes out and throws 3 INTs and they didn't prepare Minchey, they would be screwed.
