NC State played the easier part of the conference.QB A-

79.7 QBR
QB B-
3105 yards
25 TDs
9 INTs
68.8%
215 rushing yards
6 rushing TDs
79.2 QBR
QB A is Beck this year on a much better team
AB B is Bailey
Same conference. Similar schedule.
Bailey is a little less accurate but has a much better run game.
Bailey wouldn't be my first choice but I'll bet he'd have a better year here than Beck did this year.
Nah you’re making a lot of wrong assumptions here but you’re a good poster so I won’t be a ****Maybe because he’s not in the portal so people have zero clue to zone in on him… I’m sure if you brought the Cal QB they wouldn’t have an opinion either.
Baileys played pretty well with the talent around him in the same conference… it’s projectable that with a better oline, WRs, RBs and TEs he would be elevated. I will say I wouldn’t pay him Beck money hes not a reset the QB market dude don’t get me pushing it that far
NC State played the easier part of the conference.
The ones trying to compare the stats between Beck and Bailey don't want this info put out there. LOLNC State played the easier part of the conference.
But if you REALLY want to play this game, I think we played 3 of the same oppoonents (so that takes out the disaster of the game he had against us) and just focus on the actual common opponents
Notre Dame, Pitt and VT
Beck has 9-1 td/int ratio, 70/91 (77%) for 790 yards,
3-0 record, 33 ppg
Bailey has 6-3 td/int ratio, 67/94 (70%) for 851yards
0-3 record, 20 ppg
My point is this, Beck has the one dud (SMU wasn’t on him) but he’s been better than given credit for.
Betting on Bailey is a major bet on him taking sizable leaps if we are to maintain momentum as a team.
We will find out soon enough and like i said, it seems like a foregone conclusion that it’s going to be Bailey.
He doesn't have what it takes to go to the next level. It's not just throwing ability. It's all the rest.
That's easily offset by comparing the offensive talent for both teams. Especially the OL...NC State played the easier part of the conference.

Beck had way more talent to protect him and give him time to throw.... so if Bailey is even comparable in stats, against comparable talent, it's safe to assume he would be better with more time to throw, less pressure overall, and better run blockers as well. The ones trying to compare the stats between Beck and Bailey don't want this info put out there. LOL

He didn’t have scrubs for supporting cast. That’s propaganda. He had a top 2 portal rb (over the Texas rbs) and two WRs that will go to better programs - one was a former 5 star. That's easily offset by comparing the offensive talent for both teams. Especially the OL...
Bailey played behind a much worse OL with much less talent overall than Beck.
you put him behind a better OL, give him more time to throw, better blocking for RBs, and more separation for his WRs, and his stats will improve.
I am truly on the fence with this Bailey kid and think his development can go either way.
He can be a star or he can be a major bust.

You all are making assumptions in growth based on opinions that aren’t facts.
what about the single most important unit for QBs to succeed.. the OL? pressure rate allowed? run blocking grade? He didn’t have scrubs for supporting cast. That’s propaganda. He had a top 2 portal rb (over the Texas rbs) and two WRs that will go to better programs - one was a former 5 star.

I don't think he's our best option.. but I do think he could easily be an UPGRADE over Beck.... Beck was basically a game manager this year...And NC state went 5-4 in those games and you have to include Memphis and ECU to get to 5 wins.
The only thing this shows is that he had a surrounding cast that is better than some people are giving for in an attempt to prop up Bailey.
Top 2 rb, 2 P4 options at WR, including a five star. He had a cast. He didn’t sheer will them to 9 wins by himself, at all.
Again, I think it’s obvious this is the guy we have been back channeling. So imma root for him to win Heisman.
But nobody has said anything to make me think he is our best option. At. All.
If we bring him, I think we need to bring in another top WR1a so that his floor can be playoff. Take nothing to chance.
If we had Bailey this year, we would NOT been in the playoff at all.I don't think he's our best option.. but I do think he could easily be an UPGRADE over Beck.... Beck was basically a game manager this year...
Bailey is in his 2nd year starting behind a mediocre OL at 19 or 20 years old
Beck is in his 6th year in CFB, 3rd year starting, behind an ELITE pass blocking OL and 24 years old.. and he just won a CFP game with 100 yards passing... we didn't need much from him this year...
give Bailey a better OL and another year and he should improve signicantly....
let me ask you this, do you think Bailey could have had a better game against TAMU than Beck did? I would rather have had Bailey...
I get that. I do. But I look and see how did they process? Bailey had deer in headlights look.what about the single most important unit for QBs to succeed.. the OL? pressure rate allowed? run blocking grade?
I'm going to refer to you as Bailey #5 .... like when tech unicorns refer to their employee number in the company.I don't think he's our best option.. but I do think he could easily be an UPGRADE over Beck.... Beck was basically a game manager this year...
