Christian Pellage Announcing Friday at 2 PM

I don't buy into those camp performances for O-linemen. Show me with pads.

This kid can ball. He, Milo and Merrick are takers! Stop the BS and get real. Our new QB and RB haul needs protectors and hole makers. Feels good to know we getting top tier talent! :)

And just to add to this..I dont think scouts and recruiting services do either. CThomas absolutely destroyed everyone in his path at every camp he went to last year in 1 on 1 drills. Esp at the Opening. We all thought his stock would have skyrocketed. And it really didnt. He moved up a little but not as much as his performances warranted IMO. He didnt get his 5th star until after his senior year IIRC.

What? Chad Thomas did Sky rocket. He went from being a top 250/300 player to being a top 25 national talent, and regarded as a top 3 DE in the country.

While i agree with you none of the ones you mentioned are committed to our team at this moment. AnAndf they do commit then we'd better make a couple dudes disappear that is already committed. I would love tge luxury of stock piling but with the fact that we've obtained just one coner commit in this and tge last class thys far.

No committable offer from FSU, and not 100% sure our offer is a committable 1 either. South Carolina is my pick based on reading reports.

No pads, no count, every position.

Besides a rush, what's the difference between a QB throwing in pads vs. 7 on 7?

That is a pretty big besides, but another one is being able to see above and pass with an OL in front of you.

Listen I'm not saying that you can learn EVERYTHING about a QB in 7 on 7, but I think it's a bit ignorant to say that you can't learn anything by watching a QB go through a pass skeleton.

Mechanics, Ball Velocity, and Ball Placement are generally things that you can get a feel for watching a guy throw in shorts.

Plus, the one thing the "no pads" clan seems to overlook is that the goal ain't for a QB to be facing pressure even if he DOES have pads on. The goal is for the offensive line to make it look like a 7 on 7, because NO QB performs as well against pressure as he does when not facing pressure (this doesn't mean go find guys stats against the blitz, because a blitz doesn't necessarily have to get there).

The overwhelming majority of QBs struggle against pressure, because it's difficult to throw a football the same with a 300 pound human in your face.

Jersey, I'm not saying you can't learn anything from playing 7v7. You asked what was the difference and I answered. No pass rush or OL is a major difference.

We'll see but Patchan saying he thinks it will be UM makes me wonder. Now, St. Louis was a UF lock until days before his announcement and by the morning of he was virtually a UM lock so let's wait and see
