Don’t believe he can be characterized as too small any longer. I have always loved shorter RB’s that are built solidly. Low center of gravity makes tackling much more difficult. Some of the best RB’s we have ever seen are on the shorter side.

Not making any predictions about how good a player he will be, just stating that he no longer seems to be too small. If he is anywhere near 200 lbs as has been reported by coaches, he has enough size.

No doubt I’m with you. Going from I’d say 155ish to 200 in one year is a lot so I’m skeptical

He’s a good football player though. If he was 200 then I agree. Not saying our coaches are lying but if the plan was just to pack on weight then it might not be his “playing weight” yet if that makes sense?

170 at 6'0 is ridiculously skinny for a RB. For a WR or CB it would be fine. But RBs have to be stout.

Hard to judge him as we haven’t seen him play live yet. Unless he can beat out Pringle I can’t imagine how many touches he will get though. Especially if we are talking about Lofton also getting carries

he wasn't 155 since like soph year in high school. He came in over 175pds closer to 185 more than likely.
His frame has the ability to hold it. i guess 5'11 180 backs are considered small..but he got that jacket and i guess it stuck. lol..he had a bigger lower body than cjj who was over 185 himself. 200 is good weight for the kid man we gotta let our kids develop and see.

Elijah Lofton Maybe More FreShman DJ Williams than Davenport. DJ Body Was wide at 6’2 235 Much Like Lofton.
It’s a Mystery How good a Running Back Lofton is. He destroyed Central Highschool & even Hurdled over a Tackler & kept running. Jerome Bettis is what come to mind. 6’247 lbs bowling ball at Notre Dame.
