Which one do you want? Free market capitalism or the ability to restricts who can enter in a transaction and thereby limiting free market capitalism?

We're talking very small foreign purchases. ~3% of total farm/ranch/forest land are owned by foreign entities. Texas and Oklahoma represent the biggest pieces of the increase in ownership by foreign entities.

As for who makes up at 3%, China is less than 1%. Canada is by far the largest foreign owner of US property.

You think 3 percent of our farmland is small? I disagree.

So you think with capitalism we should just allow enemies to purchase our land?

3% is farmland owned by ALL foreign entities.

I don't have a strong feeling one way or another because it's such a small amount. Capitalism doesn't care what the nationality is - money is king.

Define enemy. Is Saudi Arabia an enemy in your eyes? Russia?
 
Lots of opinions here and some make no sense at all while others get it. China is our biggest enemy and want to take over the USA and destroy us. If you don't know that then you're dumber than dumb. It is a MASSIVE SECURITY breach for the Chinese to buy land near our strategic military installations. Is that too difficult to understand ? Since Joe and his son are highly compromised we are in big trouble.

This is my belief. I think only american citizens should be able to buy american land.

3 percent is the size of iowa man. Thats not small.

Saudi should be a enemy bases on 9/11. We are sending money and weapons to ukraine so apparently russia is a enemy.

What about companies? Should US based companies be allowed to be bought by foreign entities?

And if you think Saudi Arabia or Russia are our enemies, maybe you should let our politicians know that. Like I've mentioned, you'd be shocked (and maybe terrified) at the relationship SA has had with the US for the last few decades.
 
The best gig going is marrying a foreigner with loose connections to extremist groups. Marrying the sleeper cell connect gets them into our country. They are able to do all kids of things like voting, buying property, guns, explosives . . . And they love to recruit. And it all starts with a sham marriage. Its fairly coordinated. Recruiters at community colleges primarily. Keeps em under the radar and typically community college students can use extra money. Victimless crime.

This thread is about land. Thats what i was talking about.

I dont view saudi like china. Saudi is not trying to be the worlds super power. China very much is.
