He’s got his work cut out for him to add quality talent. Who are the top targets? who’s are the realistic targets?
 
Bama blue print would be to make him an analyst. That being said, this is **** good and I am thrilled for this team. We all can agree that Mario isn’t messing around and that our future is bright. I expect to get to the ACCCG next year and now even believe that we could be in position to win it. Let’s Go!

Geezus. Foundation on and off the field is solid. Build it and they will come……let’s hope this is the beginning to enjoyable Saturdays again. It’s been a minute. I was optimistic but this exceeds what I could imagine and in what, 3 months?

Mario knows what he’s doing. It’s called gravitas!

Strong is a DC in waiting here and security for the possibility Steele gets poached at some point.

The same can be said for our new QB coach who has experience as an OC.

Mario doesn’t mess around. Bama and Georgia poached our DB and WR coaches, repectibly, after they’ve participated in our elite days. what is his response?! Oh, so you want to play that way, huh?! OK, I’ll poach GEorgia’s NC, #2 rated recruiting DB coach, and poach Michigan’s Broyle’s winning OC coach who just happens to be a WR specialist.

Mario plays 3-dimensional chess. Can anybody imagine any of these guys coming in to work for Manny? And before you say Manny didn’t have the economic support…GRAVITAS is what gets you that support. The money was there at Miami because of the Health System profits. Díaz just didn’t have the gravitas to get it. Instead he dug his own grave by failing to hire a DC and splitting his duties.

I guarantee you Mario demanded reconoció support from the U or he wouldn’t have come here.

For the first time in 20 years I feel good and optimistic about a UM HC hire. Oh and by the way, the same goes for an AD hire. We’re finally hiring men instead of boys to run the ship.

Yep they all believe in Mario. They for sure realize it will look great on their resume when a consistent 7-5 Miami team wins the natty. Miami is the easiest college in the country to turn around, we just didn't wanna spend on the coaches to do it.

People will write about his South Florida ties, but he is from Arkansas and has coached all over the confederacy. I hope he still has pull in Texas for instance...

does that board even exist anymore? is shadow even still alive? hadn't heard that name in years.

i think i stumbled across the site about 5 or 6 years ago. the home page still had a story on xavier shannon being the new starting center at UM :LOL:

No idea. Haven’t been in eons. Was last pretty active on it 10-12 years ago (maybe more!)
 
Wonder if this year could be the last for Coach Strong, doesn't seem like he's doing a lot on the recruiting trail, well no one is really talking about him.

Edit I was mistaken, I guess he was the primary for Aguirre and Bryant. My bad
