All of them. What is so hard for you to understand? RESPONSIBILITY. 1 Gap is less Responsibility...Less Thinking.....Get up field......No/much less holding the line.

I'm sure this is all bull**** though. But if it's true the only reason it would be is so they can use it as another excuse for frequent defensive rapings. "Joe it starts with me, I've said that all along, but we've been recruiting guys for a 3-4 defense for three years, so we're going to need four or five more years to get the right guys to run this 4-3. Mark has been working his tail off and we're going to get it fixed."
 
Any dt can play the 4-3. Jenkins, heurtulou etc can play nt in the 4-3 and be run stuffers.
 
It took this loser 4 years to figure this out ???? **** no wonder we keep losing if it takes you four years to make adjustments

With the disclaimer that this is probably all crap, running a 4-3 occasionally is different than changing your philosophy completely and sticking with it. A scheme change would have to be combined with a complete shift in attitude to the way they coach defense. You can run a 4-3 and still be a soft, non-attacking defense that doesn't dictate to the offense.

Everyone talks about "scheme" but the reality is that the whole thing is based on "philosophy".

There are two gap teams that dominate and one gap teams that suck. It's all about letting your guys hunt and making it easy on them.

not even that.....but these kids are just poorly coached....poorly conditioned. Mentally unprepared. And that's even before we get into X's and O's
 
They might very well run a 4-3 but they'll find a way to **** it up and play a 2 gap 4-3
 
The big question is aggression and speed. Four years teaching passive wait and see with fat slow players is not changed by putting a fourth hand in the dirt. I doubt Al actually intends to change anything(he hasn't yet) and in truth it is too little to late. He has to go. Man is one of Donna cancer cells. This is at best a lie to stop the bleeding on the recruiting front.

BOOM! to this. I mentioned this in another thread..Do we even have the DT depth after this year to run a 4-3??? A little late to be pulling this **** out of his a$$.
 
All they have to do is play man to man the majority of the time and be ******* aggressive and we will be fine. It's really not that hard but somehow this coaching staff can't figure that out.
 
Pathetic on every level. From posters buying into and discussing fake info to people thinking lipstick on the Folden pig will change anything.
