He was a nobody, who got hired to be passing game coordinator, then was going to be co-OC. Ed O could have just done the obvious and make Brady full time OC, but that wasn't the plan. He was going to be co-OC. Meyer had co-coordinators forever. So has Saban. and Dabo. You said that the idea of co-coordinators is dumb. Some of the GOAT coaches regularly have had co-coordinators and now you've moved the goal posts and said, "oh but that only works if they are former NFL HCs." Jeff Scott wasn't a former NFL HC or CFB HC when Dabo made him co-OC with Tony Elliot, who also wasn't a HC. Elliot and Scott were co-OCs when Clemson beat Bama in 2017. I can keep going, but it doesn't seem like you know when you're beat so there isn't much reason to bother with you anymore.
