Was at the Booker T. Washington - Glades Central game last night and Thomas might have had his best game of the season. Glades Central was not the most talented team offensively, but he completely disrupted anything they tried. I don't have the exact stats, but he had at least 2.5 sacks, a QB strip that led to a TD, 4-5 QB hurries, and was in the backfield all night long.
The knock on Thomas prior to the season was that his production did not match his physical ability, but that is not the case anymore. He has come to play this year knowing there is a target on his back. He was playing well into the 4th quarter last night with his team up by 30 and he was still going hard.
It's been mentioned on here before that Thomas projects as a DE in college, but I really hope that Miami coaches use him inside from time to time the way BTW coaches use him. He will continue to add weight and his first step is incredibly quick. This would be an interesting package to see for passing situations.
