Was at the Booker T. Washington - Glades Central game last night and Thomas might have had his best game of the season. Glades Central was not the most talented team offensively, but he completely disrupted anything they tried. I don't have the exact stats, but he had at least 2.5 sacks, a QB strip that led to a TD, 4-5 QB hurries, and was in the backfield all night long.

The knock on Thomas prior to the season was that his production did not match his physical ability, but that is not the case anymore. He has come to play this year knowing there is a target on his back. He was playing well into the 4th quarter last night with his team up by 30 and he was still going hard.

It's been mentioned on here before that Thomas projects as a DE in college, but I really hope that Miami coaches use him inside from time to time the way BTW coaches use him. He will continue to add weight and his first step is incredibly quick. This would be an interesting package to see for passing situations.

and some on here say he is a de/lb-- i am always thinking to myself- wtf are they thinking..this is a big dude- projects as a big d-end (that from time to time can even play inside) ala Calias.

He'll be an extremely better version of Chickillo.

I just hope they don't bulk him up to 280 and he loses his explosiveness.

I don't want Miami to be a place where talented kids get lost in the shuffle due to poor coaching and crazy fans that constantly beat down the program

I am really hoping we turn the corner and become a place that your talent is developed show cased through winning and our support for this team is undeniable

I hear you but I think the kid will end up being 280 regardless, he has the frame for it. He isn't a guy that will just stay at 255-260.

Pete rumors starting to swirl that Bama is heating up with Chad and he is talking about it

This kid is locked in with the U...

I just hope the U can take this kids talents to another level...there will be zero
excuses on that d-line soon...because the beef and talent will be here next year

2 jucos and 3-4 highly touted d-tackles whats the issue then..

You have GOOD DEs coming and currently on the roster...

I dont know man. He is visiting taking his visit with bama. Im hearing the coach d problem has them thinking

LOL @ him playing inside.

He's one of the best edge rushers in the country. That dude belongs nowhere but the edge. Needs atleast 45 more pounds before he moves inside. He's 6'5". He'd need to get to atleast 300 to have enough bulk for DT.

I think he meant more like use him like the Giants use Tuck. Primarily an edge rusher, but move him inside on 3rd and long to rush.

Oh ok. Well he still needs around 30 pounds before he can do that. If he's anywhere in the 240-255 rang then it would simply be like lining a LB up at DT.
