Agree, 100%. Leadership is learned and earned. That’s the thread that runs thru them and binds us to them. They walk we run, they fight, we win. They win, it’s all about it, babyI was a middle career gato sitting in a meeting when our Big Cat Commander looked at my brand new boss and welcomed him. He had just arrived and taken command from a highly regarded commander, who was a great guy.
"Hey, you have really big shoes to fill."
Without missing a beat, new guy said, "So and so was good, but I've got my own shoes...".
New guy ended as one of the best leaders I've ever seen on Planet Earth.
Cam was a fantastic QB1 for our Canes...maybe even the best to date.
Let's support Beck in his journey to be a different, but perhaps equally or even more fantastic, QB1 as well.
Go Canes.
There's no forgetting Cam. However, many people will be showing their asses and diminishing what he did.If Beck somehow leads us to #6, I won’t go so far as to say people will forget Cam Ward real quick, but it would be quite a dynamic shifter in the dialogue.
Related note, because I’ve been watching a lot of previews this week. Love how the narrative went from “I’m not sold on Cam Ward” last offseason to “Miami is going to have a massive decline because Carson Beck is not Cam Ward” this offseason.
Beck isn’t as good as Ward but the same people are talking out both sides of their mouths.
That's exactly what I'm counting on.I think there's a really good shot that Beck reestablishes himself as a 1st round pick this season. If we can do this 2 years in a row, that should put an end to the narrative of Mario and QBs and really help us pick up some recruiting momentum.
What I’m taking from this is our OL splits are too narrow and we can’t create running lanes. Including a quote from Lyle must mean Fletcher is banged up.
Game management?I expect his game-management and deep ball to be better.
Can't read it what does it say?Slightly different than their take on FSU's QB

"I'm told Carson Beck just looks phenomenal at Miami," said CBS Sports national college football reporter Brandon Marcello. "Big-time veteran presence.
"He was healing up from surgery throughout the offseason. He wasn't able to participate in practice. But he was in every meeting. He was meeting with the offensive line. It's starting to show here in their first week of full practices."
"I had one person down there tell me that that offensive line is 'elite,'" Marcello said. "We all know Mario Cristobal loves to build his team around the offensive and defensive lines. If he's got an elite offensive line, that could be big."
Looks great essentiallyCan't read it what does it say?
They never said he wasn’t a leader and didn’t fit in culturally until he left. I’ve lived here in Georgia a long time (I watch pretty much every UGA game) and they LOVED him until he announced his transfer, and then immediately the narrative changed. When he said that, that let me know I all I to about the “not a leader” narrative. Pure bs
