That's what I don't get. These people are going nuts for Garrett Nussmeier who had very similar numbers last year. Only different is he had 4k but we all know Beck had so many drops. Beck is going to have a HUGE year and those numbers were in a tougher conference.

A lot of people look at stats and listen to hype to judge players.

I was thinking about this in bed last night...

If our forefathers were able to leave all the clues they did on historic documents/landmarks for Benjamin Franklin Gates, in 2025 why can't we come up with a system to decode D$ information where he doesn't betray Mario's confidence on the surface level?!

Related note, because I’ve been watching a lot of previews this week. Love how the narrative went from “I’m not sold on Cam Ward” last offseason to “Miami is going to have a massive decline because Carson Beck is not Cam Ward” this offseason.

Beck isn’t as good as Ward but the same people are talking out both sides of their mouths.
 
Shameful curated thread. Staff pays Danny $1000 per post. Everyone knows Beck is mid and the staff sits around and decides what media members are told to post. Beck is probably in prison right now and the dozens of support staffers hired to only decide media content know Danny can be easily bought. This is gross.

To me the narrative is a little off when presented this way. It should simply be that Carson Beck is different than Cam Ward.
 
I think if Georgia upgraded from bobo Carson is still there. That had to have been the driving force. Kids tryna raise his stock. Miami runs the air raid and has a great line. Simple. Plus we just had the first overall pick. You can argue whether we developed him or not. What you can’t argue is we put him in position to succeed

TBH I think that narrative is already dead and Ward killed it. You can't say the guy that had the #1 overall draft pick QB is a QB killer, that's just dumb at that point.

But yeah, if Beck has success then he goes from QB killer to QB whisperer. Because remember Ward was not getting 1st Round grades before coming to Miami and Beck is not getting 1st Round grades right now before the season starts. That would be two times in a row where a QB came here and improved their draft stock.
