Carlton Davis Commits To Ohio State

Neither of the McFadden's are being actively recruited.

Can someone explain how it's inexplicable that Rashard Causey doesn't have an offer? He has no big offers.

So neither McFadden has an offer from UM.

T. McFadden has offers from EVERYONE.

K. McFadden has a ton of offers too (Bama, Auburn, UF and TAMpon).

Perhaps we should recruit them harder because we have ZERO DB commits?

All offers are not the same, but you know this already. Pretty common knowledge on this board that we aren't actively recruiting either McFadden. No need to exaggerate the truth to prove a point.

We lost out on C Davis yest, no one can argue that. Meyer beats us on a kid in our backyard that we wanted plain and simple. It's not good.

Our targets are irvin, jaquan, davante davis, and cole, only one of them are committed somewhere and has said to be not committed there for long, idk what list you are talking about

Not saying we should celebrate of course not im ****ed that he aint here too, but hes not going to make or break this DB class, the kid has potential but many feel including myself that there are better prospects that we have a good chance of getting, plus the dam kid is saying he is a soft commit on the day he committed, thats like the equivalent to saying yea ohio state is my leader at the moment, chill out and lets see how things play out

Our targets are more than those. You choose to only mention those...

A target is someone who has an offer and/or you try to recruit (so the following would be targets)

C. Davis (committed to OSU),
SBB (committed to Bama)
T. McFadden (not committed to anyone), and
K. McFadden (committed to WVU)

So that list is 8 names. 4 are committed to other schools (C. Davis, Cole and K. McFadden and SBB). Even if you don't count SBB because he may play WR, we still have a long way to go. In addition, there are no guarantees with Irvin,D. Davis, Cole and/or Johnson. As of 8/12 they're not committed to Miami.

3 cole aint going to FSU and that has been known, jaquan and irvin want to announce at the all star games, as of 8/12 they arent committed to anyone else, well except for cole but like i said hes basically decommitted

Look at their offers. Tell me why Bama wants both and we don't.

I hope so because we need him. We will see but right now a bunch of studs are committed to other schools and we need 4.

I agree we need four, just give it some time and see whats going to happen, not the time to jump off the ship just yet

Time we started looking at Paul Williams as a poor recruiter and poor coach. Golden needs to upgrade his DB coach.

They have verbal offers not all have a commitable offer. Plus Johnson, irvin, D.Davis, C.Davis, & Cole all claim to have Bamer Offers you think they all can call up Saban right now and commit?

Interesting, considering all anyone is talking about is how the secondary has gotten light years better in camp and is the best unit on the squad...

For Paul's short coming as a recruiter, he makes it up with his coaching ability. I have no issue with him.

Agreed. Our defensive backs are the best unit on the defense and our recruiting has been pretty **** good back there minus a few. We have 5 corners that can start and 4 safeties. That's not too bad.

Paul Willias is the best developer of talent on this staff. Just look at the safeties we have, he built up Tracy into almost a shutdown cb, Gunter is good, Artie will get the Tracy treatment and become a very good cb and no telling how good Corn can be. Once again everybody ******* and moans when this kid said he's a soft commit who great chance wont stay committed to OSU and UM is still in great shape with Cole, Johnson and Irvin

This is the reason I wanted us to at least recruit Tarvarus McFadden. If we miss out on Cole, I'd be extremely disappointed.

K McFadden has an offer to play at Bama, but is committed to WVU? Just think about that for a second. Like said, its kinda like when a kid we dont really want claims an offer from us but a recruiting service confirms the offer.

Davis says he probably won't take an official visit to Miami, but he will take OVs to Florida and South Carolina.

They better be going hard after Marcus Lewis, even if it's unlikely that he ends up here. They're being extremely selective with their CB recruiting, which is a far cry from their approach to the OL. Still 0 CBs committed after only adding Mayes in the previous cycle...

If we end up with Cole and Davante Davis I'm good with that
