I was uneasy with all the talk on this board...had a feeling LSU would be too physical for us, especially our mediocre OL.

I quietly had this penciled as a loss. Didn't think we'd be able to run, and didn't think Rosier would play well. I thought it would be more like a 17-13 loss, but still a loss. Unrealistic to expect a vastly improved team when nearly the same roster is out there, including all the weakest links from last year. Accuracy in practice...come on, I knew MR would struggle again when the live bullets got going.

Kids dont want to play for losers. They dont need a banner to let them know a coach is a loser, they watch the teams play and decide for themselves. You think kids dont know Mark richt is a has been? Every coach in America recruits against him by saying “yea he wasnt good enough for the SEC”.

THAT kills recruiting. Losing kills. Bad coaches like Diaz and rumph and Hartley and Patke kill. Gotta get rid of them and find someone who can actually win.

Exactly this. We're caught in a very vicious cycle and I explained this before we hired Richt. Most kids don't view our school as first tier anymore so they go to other schools. Problem is, unless you have elite, elite coaching with some lucky breaks, it's really hard to dig yourselves out of the hole and prove to recruits that you're worthy of their commitment. It's very circular. Not highly respected by croots, tier 2 athletes, tier 2 results, and the cycle continues.

I agree. But did you notice who Manny the genius confused and confounded the LSU QBs starting his first game ever in front of 100k people? Seems like your defense for Manny, who at this point I assume is your son, it take the idiot that hired him sucks worse than him. I agree the mark is worse.

I could care less if the whole dam staff gets canned, I don't have allegiance with coaches. But I know football and I know our defense would look a lot better if we had at least a DECENT offense

What the fck happened to finally being able to use a a FB to establish a power run game??? That slow developing rb delay bull**** they kept running was terrible i can’t blame that on the oline just yet.

Its mostly their fault though. A FB isn't going to stop the DT from blowing up Gauthier or Mahoney. Most of the runs we attempted were blown up from the get-go. Could Realus help alleviate some of the issues? Sure but it starts with the OL.

Yeap. Thomas manage to snagged several and he is like the shortest dude. If the others had done as well who knows what would have happened.

Every kid's not Thomas tho. Should that be some kind of expectation from them?

I guess I severely fail to see the connection between Thomas making good plays and a completely erratic game from the QB position that yielded erratic results.

Which is why a very few of us were beside themselves when we hired Richt, bc he is seen as a 2nd tier “not good enough for the big time” coach.

But the sunshiners drowned it out. And they drowned us out when a few of us lost it over the likes of Diaz, Rumph, Hartley, and Jon Richt being hired.

The worst part about this is LSU is about to get blown the **** out by Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia. They also will probably lose to Miss st. and maybe TAMU. This is not going to be one of those good losses that the committee will ignore later in the season.

THIS is the question I wished Richt would've been asked WAY before now. But SMD and co were too busy asking him the right way to eat a sandwich.

True indeed. The thing is DBs not playing through the whistle, DL doing unnecessary stunts, mis-timed blitzes on 2nd downs, the middle of the field wide open, etc. doesn't help either.

Our qb is part of the oline troubles. How many times did he call out a blitz or slide the pro?

With all the time he takes to snap the ball he should be able to sense where they are blitzing from. They didn’t disguise very well. How many times did he hot route to where they blitzed from or even look that way? He stuck to his primary read and tucked if it wasn’t open.

Meanwhile, their qb spots the blitz, checks to run away from it, then watches his rb run to the endzone

Only "They" know the compexities of Miami blah blah.
