Canes twitter account tweets Hickson named as RB coach

Seider would've been a homerun. Know nothing about this guy but he better be a great recruiter. RB is relatively easy to coach.

Ya but Bluestein loves everyone...Every recruit is a star...Everyone who has ever coached in sofla is a great upcoming coach.

And that's no reflection on Hickson negatively. I respect the work Blustein does, and how he handles himself, but will never put one iota of precedence in anything he says.

i mean then who are you gonna look to? hes the biggest guy for SFL hs sports down here who has a credible opinion. based on hick sons body of work, RBs produced at kstate under him last year and hes produced guys from his days coaching hs down here

What good is an opinion if you can predict what it is because they are only capable of having the one opinion?

You want someone with South Florida ties? You got one who knows the landscape here first hand being a native of Ft. Lauderdale and coaching in the area for many years. His connections to HS coaches should be a big plus.

You mean the L where a recruits dad basically guilted him to stay home at the last second and the kid who Brown was the first to see as a star but left because he's an OSU groupie? That's not because he can't recruit and the rbs beside 3 games of fumbles by Deejay which he himself says were his fault aren't on Brown

You can't argue with facts. All you just said are excuses. The RB's got worse. Why the heck Lingard didn't get more burn is a crime. All the RB's started fumbling this season. I blame that on coaching as much as the backs. Of course a player isn't going to blame his coach for fumbling. Brown failed to recruit even one RB 2 out of his 3 years. He failed miserably on McFarland, McIntosh, Sanders, Wright, and Crowley. I'm sure there's plenty more but that's off the top of my head.

I want to see if this guy can get us Rooster from Deerfield. Really want that kid. Let's see if the Broward connect pays off.

Isn’t it the height of ignorance to argue that you are unimpressed with someone or something that you’ve never heard of? The inaccurate assumption being that since you’ve never heard of someone or something, he/it must not be good.
So how about this for an idea. Do some research on the guy and then provide an informed opinion. You may reach the same conclusion. But at least then you’ll have a bias for your opinion and won’t just be exposing your ignorance.

The very BEST time to criticize is when you know absolutely nothing. The criticism flows like water down a waterfall. It's gorgeous.

Yeah but Blu is a sunshine pumper. Can't take anything he says seriously. At least not his opinions on coaches/players.

I don't really know much about this guy, but I ain't sweatin' it either. It's a RB coach. That's exactly where you put the coach with "local ties".

How do you take this stance, ga... What does that even mean. LOL

Well, we had no idea what we were getting in Hartley and Banda, and they turned out to be good hires (Hartley at TE and recruiting, not STs, obviously). When Richt replaced Kul with Simpson, we had no idea how he would perform in college, and he's my favorite position coach right now. The jury is still out on Patke.

I am hopeful Enos knows how to assemble a staff. Just don't know enough to be judgmental either way. Maybe Hickson is the next Simpson and we'll all love the hire a year from now. Seider is a known element in both coaching and recruiting, which is why I wanted him and felt it worth spending the extra money on.
