Canes To Adidas Confirmed

New deal is likely closer to $5 per year. Bigger deal for hoops. Take the Money.

The move wont be bad. They did a good job with the Army All American Bowl uniforms and looking at there list of schools we would take priority ..

Those jerseys were terrible. Numbers aligned at an angle, names on the back of the helmets instead of the jersey itself, the terrible tiger striped socks.

I just told Carter, and he was like, "Why? Adidas sucks!" Even he knows.

Looking for a bright side my man :) I think they were better than U/A game jerseys..

Nike ruined you unis this year.. not sure Adidas is any better but would be hard to make them worse.. BTW, have you seen Under Armor basketball unis for South Carolina? You dodged a bullet

Didn't watch it, so I don't know about that. They always go over the top for the kids though.

The only thing wrong with our uniforms last year was the helmets. Stick with the traditional lid, and they would've been great.

I took great pride in knowing my favorite school aligned themselves with the #1. They kept great company, now, I don't know what they're doing.

So this is what the we get from the big wigs, a new apparel deal? Yeah because that's our major malfunction, not our lard-*** coach or that we are losing recruits. I'm sure signing deal with ******* Adidas will cure all of this... WTF

Not a huge Adidas fan but Nike dumps money into Oregon and UA dumps money into Maryland. I'm not crying that we don't rep a brand that funnels cash to competitors.

ROFL

No one will be buying canes gear going forward. This isn't Europe or South America. Nike is king and pulls the most weight especially with the inner city kids. Bye bye to elite basketball recruits too. The Admin is so shortsighted, only caring about money and winning is just secondary. Our brand has taken a **** over the last few years, because of this same administration. Probably not the best time to test the market since our value is so low.

Nike would have countered if our brand was healthy. (Winning)

Doesnt the institution have the right to not wear a design if they dont like them?? I wonder I hate the b-ball uniforms.. as shown above. I like some of there football design(s) Louisville's uniforms they wore against FSU

Our smoke gray Orange helmet uniform was the worst. The combination we wore in bowl game was horrible as well.

What an absolute joke

Shalala and James are single handedly destroying our athletic brand

Stupid decision after stupid decision

Give it 3 years, they will see how this decision will affect us negatively in more ways than one

That's my point. It's extremely shortsighted and a bad move. We could have improved our brand over the next few years and reassess with Nike, but this administration keeps showing their loyalty. They're married to money only and with that mind frame we keep losing.

This move will definitely hurt merchandising. This move will also hurt our own brand not aligned with the biggest athletic brand in the U.S., possibly the world.

Btw, that extra money, good luck it going to anything athletic. Lol
