Canes in Austin

Is Rocklands still around? I never thought much of the bbq in the DC area all the years I lived there though they have so many other great options.
Honestly not sure. I got them a few times when I used to live in Arlington and they were located at Carpool, but never thought that highly of them. I agree with you though on BBQ in this area - really not that many good options.

I just got back from traveling the country for a year (Austin being one of those stops) and there are a few newish BBQ places that are close by in MD that I need to checkout, but Federalist Pig in the Adam's Morgan area is awesome. We used to get them catered to office about once a month when we actually went in.

Last time I was in Adam’s Morgan I had Amsterdam Falafel

Bro I got this here in San Antonio for 40$ (Half rack of ribs, lb of brisket, sausage links, and two leg quarters) and it's not showing the Sides (pint of Charro Beans and Pint of Potato Salad) and Drinks too.... this is Smoke BBQ & Brew...

I tell my people to check out Jones BBQ on the eastside or Brickyard BBQ in med center whenever they in town craving BBQ. Stay away from Bill Miller and Rudy's 🤮🤮🤮
That looks great brother! 😋

Weren’t you the one saying your favorite pizza is Chicago style deep dish?

It’s not pizza it’s a casserole.

Still there. I used to live a few blocks from the Arlington Location before I moved to ATL earlier this year.

More pickles than BBQ.

Franklins is good stuff. But, my old faithful is Rudy’s. Consistently excellent and good atmosphere. We’ve lived here 20 years or so. Heading to College Station Sat. am with wife. Bird bird biscuit is a great idea on way out of Austin, but torcheys is the bomb too. Cell is 512-940-3104. Text if y’all are getting together Friday night here in Austin.

love me some Rudy’s. I had a team in Austin at one point and they introduced it to me. the one on 360 I think had a big grassy area in the back and was a cool set up. Of course one of the hipsters on the team would scoff at it because it was from a gas station.
