Not at all. I completely agree with you.Nope. The guys he put into the league were pass rushers, mostly DEs.

Joe still on the weak side. From what i have seen garvin is at ssde.Coaches focus on different skills. The fact that Simpson stresses run support means all of our DL except the freshmen get the chance to learn from 2 different styles of coaches. Big plus. This should especially help JoeJax's transition from the weak side to the strong side, which requires better run support.
@Tee3000 bich *** tried to tell me that I couldnt deduce each coachs technique thru the drills they teach. i told this idiots that Kul had a bigger emphasis on pass rushing with rip/swim moves.. you really didnt need to hear him say it. You only had to look no further than his missouri Dlines that were NEVER KNOWN for any run stopping ability.
That's why i asked for an official 1 tech Kul has coached and Parano**** posted a bunch of has beens and nobodies because the bulk of Kuls developed players thrive at 3 tech and DE.
But it was evident in those clips the difference in teaching. Aye look. dont @ me ever again you dumb fuq. G Willz just validated me. Horses mouth , hoe.

Is he older than trayone gray?Turned 23 today
Is it fair to say Kul didn’t coach run support? From SB Nation:
“Against Notre Dame, a team that averaged 269 rushing yards a game, the Hurricanes held the Irish to just 109. Even in the Orange Bowl against Wisconsin, Miami held the Badgers to almost 100 yards below their season average.”
Gerald Willis has 4th round potential imo. And considering where he came from that would be an amazing story.
He has high potential then the 4th round. Although I agree he will probably go around there.
Im just happy as **** that g-willis came in under coach richt, had he been here under the moron regime, they would've ruined this man, like they did with other players. He's at the right school at the right time.
I kept telling people who kept going over board with the coach kul compliments when they would say "he was the best d-line coach in college football" i could never consider him the best when our run defense has been **** poor under coach kul against the better running teams, only the notre shame run defense was impressive, other than that, garbage.
When i first saw jess simpson start teaching, i knew immediately our run defense was going to be on point, that's why having a headcoach like coach richt is real valuable, one, he's his own man, he makes decision based on his own judgement, so when he hired jess simpson, i wasnt worried at all, i read many people moaning and complaining, instead of looking at coach richt's track record since he's been here, he's proven he knoww how to put a staff together, and jess simpson was the right guy at the right time. I personally didnt care that coach kul left, but when you go across the board and see the type of guys coach richt hired and their mindsets, coach rumph and coach dugans are the epitome of it. They coach like national chqmpions, and i read somewhere that somebody said "we dont have a championship experienced coaching staff" coach richt won a national championship as the oc at Fsu, coach dugans was one of his wideouts during that championship. We already know bout coach rumph, national champion, 1st round draft, and like he said the other day "since he been preaching we dont do nothing mediocre around here, so going in the 3rd or 4th round is mediocre to us" so he walked it already like he talking it.
Coach diaz, Miami all the way, he pretty much witnessed all the Miami championships, so its imbedded in him what GREATNESS is suppose to look like, its all coming together. If this team gets Blessed with Great health, i dont see nothing stopping us from making the playoffs. That clemson team we layed last year was trash on offense, all we need to do is force them into being a passing team. No way renfrow shouldnt be pressed up on.
So just to be clear, we got a national championship roster, coachew included!
Anybody that thinks we did a good job against the run vs wisconsin, needs to go back and watch the game and study football more. To use a stat that says "we held wisconsin 100yrds below their season avg" does not indicate a team stopped their running game. Their freshman running taylor avg 5yrds a carry and ended the day with around 130yrds, that should never be confused as or with stopping the run. We gave up to many rushing yards on defense the last 2yrs. Coach kul is a good d-line coach, but its better o be a run stopping d-line and get a few less sacks than to have teams running at will against us which opens up their whole playbook.
In fact coach kul can take alot credit for jaquan johnson receiving alot of these pre-season accolades, cause when a safety is the leading tackler on defense, that's a sign the boys up front are not getting it done. Showed how much jaquan made our defense look even better by covering up the run technique flaws.
Once we start stopping the run and getting teams in 3rd and long again, that's when this defense will go from good back to being elite. The notre shame game showed what our defense is suppose to look like consistently once a team knows it cant run.
Keep in mind, we got an offense now that when clicking, will start to put up points at a premium, so if we up 20 or more, that'll start forcing teams to abandon the run as well, than the sacks will come as well. We getting back to being a team that can run the ball and stop the run, that's gone be a problem for college football. Also,, we never recruited this many good athletes at the o-line spot at the same time. Things are just starting to get fun, the beauty of it all, the coaches barely have any complaints, you dont never here complaints about a True Miami team, we always come to play, so when you hear our coaches speak who maybe new to coaching Miami plers, they are normally always impressed by the players they have the chance to coach here. And than like jimmy johnson after JEROME BROWN baptized him before the oklahoma game, cause jimmy coming from oklahoma st. was used to getting busted up by switzer and the boys, so had a fear of them, than he comes to Miami, and you got JEROME BROWN calling oklahoma fresh meat, winston moss, highsmith, irvin and the list goes on of the Supreme mindsets on the team, we not their yet but we on the way.
Listening to those interviews yesterday and hearing the answers from Ahmon and cager about their first game and what they would tell the younger guys, was soft thinking, but i bet if they interviewed Blades or jade, they would've gotten a whole nother answer like what we use to hearing.
Definitely need to be a genius to teach a rip move. That’s brand new to football.Bruh if you're playing the run, using a rip or swim move still ******* works. Did yall not see McIntosh swim constantly and beat the og and make a tfl? Like seriously. Kul is a great coach, yall just wanna **** talk because he's not here anymore. Didn't give a **** about recruiting, but dude can coach.
I hope to god Simpson keeps up the pass rush emphasis. Joe Jackson desperately needs to learn a counter move - all he has is the bull rush and the speed dip and rip to the outside.
Kul was a pass guy, Jess is also teaching him about the run. he's learning alot of stuff he never learned before.
