Can we get an article about the Athletic Department

Can we get an article on the mismanagement of the Athletic Department. Things to consider

1. As the Athletic Director why was Blake James not part of the Search Committee in 2015?

2. Why did the Search Committee in 2015 consist of members that know nothing about football coaching hires? "Members of the advisory committee include Board of Trustees members Hilarie Bass, David Epstein and Steve Saiontz; Deputy Director of Athletics Jennifer Strawley and former UM standouts Jonathan Vilma and Heisman Trophy winner Vinny Testaverde."

3. Why do we keep hiring the same company to conduct a search? Does someone on the BOT have a connection to Korn Ferry? They’ve failed us every time and yet we keep hiring them to find us a coach.

4. How does a booster get his son to manage the baseball team?

5. How does Blake’s relationship with Manny impact his ability to do his job? Evidently they hang out outside of Hecht.

6. Which BOT members have the greatest influence on the AD hire? This is tied to question one. Why is Hillary Bass on the search committee when she probably couldn’t tell you what a double reverse in the red zone is.

7. Why did our Athletic Director never broach the indoor practice facility until coach Richt essentially forced the issue?

8. Why did no one in the Athletic Department not know who Coach L was when he called to inquire about the job only to be asked to send his wiki page?

9. Does Blake James have sole authority over the Athletic Department? If not, why is he even employed?

10. How is it acceptable to pay Temple $4 million for a coach that you had employed 24 hours prior. A $4 million buy out for a first year head coach?

11. Rumor has it that the Athletic Department has people logging into this site to change the narrative. Is this true? If it is true, how is this acceptable behavior from an Athletic Department that is tied to an institution of higher education?

12. Why did Blake James indicate there would be a national search for a new head coach to replace mark Richt, only to turn around and seemingly in less than 48 hours hire an unqualified Manny Diaz? Did a national search occur?

Inquiring minds want to know
The problem is that most fans have no idea about what you just wrote. Need dudes that love drama and controversy. People that have followers and access. Also include long time locally respected writers that are also fans. Put these dudes on blast.
Start with these dudes for now.
All dudes on here with Twitter an ig accounts out these dudes in blast as well.

Here is my Blake James impression.

2. Why did the Search Committee in 2015 consist of members that know nothing about football coaching hires? The BOT is always involved in the hiring of football coaches. The individuals listed are highly successful and have experience high performing individuals. They also included two former players that had long careers in the NFL. Are you suggesting that Blake should have made the decision on his own or maybe a message board poll?

3. Why do we keep hiring the same company to conduct a search? Does someone on the BOT have a connection to Korn Ferry? They’ve failed us every time and yet we keep hiring them to find us a coach.

Korn Ferry does not hire the coach, they help research candidates and make suggestions. Coaching hires happen quickly and hiring a company ike Korn Ferry allows the University to conduct researcher much faster.

4. How does a booster get his son to manage the baseball team?

DiMare played for UM and spent 19 seasons as an assistant for UM. Gino is qualified to coach at a university like Miami.

5. How does Blake’s relationship with Manny impact his ability to do his job? Evidently they hang out outside of Hecht.

Balke and Manny have a professional relationship that is appropriate. Spending time together allows Manny to discuss the program and allows Blake to have a better understanding of how he can serve Manny.

6. Which BOT members have the greatest influence on the AD hire? This is tied to question one. Why is Hillary Bass on the search committee when she probably couldn’t tell you what a double reverse in the red zone is.

This question is sexist. Hilarie Bass is the founder and owner of Bass Institute for Diversity and Inclusion. Hilarie ensures the hiring process complies with NCAA rules and candidates are not excluded based on a protected status.

7. Why did our Athletic Director never broach the indoor practice facility until coach Richt essentially forced the issue?

The hiring of Mark Richt persuaded enough donors to come forward that UM was confident that enough money could be raised. UM has long wanted an IPF.

9. Does Blake James have sole authority over the Athletic Department? If not, why is he even employed?
The board does have confidence in Blake but remains involved in key decisions that impact the financial situation of our athletic programs.

10. How is it acceptable to pay Temple $4 million for a coach that you had employed 24 hours prior. A $4 million buy out for a first year head coach?

Based on the contract Manny had signed this was the amount required to buy out his contract. It is important to note that unless hiring an employed coach UM would be buying out a contract.

11. Rumor has it that the Athletic Department has people logging into this site to change the narrative. Is this true? If it is true, how is this acceptable behavior from an Athletic Department that is tied to an institution of higher education?

Can you please provide examples

12. Why did Blake James indicate there would be a national search for a new head coach to replace mark Richt, only to turn around and seemingly in less than 48 hours hire an unqualified Manny Diaz? Did a national search occur?

The Manny Diaz hire needed to happen quickly because of the situation with Temple.

Doesn't answer the question. There was no search, no candidates, Manny was Unqualified, could've hired someone that wasn't a first time HC. Someone with experience, I would've preferred to buyout Babers over Diaz. You don't buy out a Head Coach that has no experience and was going to be a HC for the first time in his career.

Eh. Answers are weak. Poor attempt to respond on behalf of the school. Lol at any of the questions being sexist.

Bill gates built one of the most profitable companies and helps run one of the largest foundations and I wouldn’t want him any where near our coaching search.

He would also admit he wouldn’t know what he is doing in regards to being an AD.

Its bigger than the AD. Look at UM across the board. Tied with FSU in academics. Law school is now fourth tier. Astronomical tuition. Hemorrhaging money from terrible business decisions. The athletic department incompetence is just part 1 of the investigation.
What?!? Did not know this...this is astounding. Sounds like the BOT and chairmen need a cleansing too.

As far as our BOTs being successful:

- Saointz inherited a real estate empire and just maintains it at best
- Epstein has been CEO of a dozen companies that have never done anything but lose his parents money
- Hilarie Bass's best win in her law career allowed *** adoption in Florida

A real trio of winners

Don't waste your time, I basically quit that.

Everyone here is an expert and on a witch hunt here. Your answers are simple and in most cases, common knowledge for anyone with a brain.

Korn Ferry wasn't involved in all of our hires. They did do the customary background checks that are a formality though. They were actively searching candidates for Shannon or Golden, I forget which.

Jesus, I can't with the rest. We have experts here on everything, I'll just sit back and laugh from now on.
