Can someone explain the last 58 seconds?

The clock was running after the review. Had to call one there or lose 25 seconds. Diaz waited 8 seconds for no apparent reason and then foolishly didn’t let them score so instead of 1 timeout and 50 seconds to get a field goal we had no timeouts and 25 seconds

I can't believe how many fans don't realize the clock was running at 58 seconds, I was upset it took so long to call the **** timeout.

I thought dropping back and playing coverage was the right call. The truth is that we got beat by the same thing we always do. We don’t play zone well enough to run it, so it failed. The call isn’t wrong, it’s how it’s taught and how it’s (not) executed IMO

I dont Travis cant process well...i would of brought alot of pressure right up the middle and forced him to scramble outside which he would of did.....after that whatever...but im not rushing ****** 2...i mean rushing 3 with Johnsomn and Mccloud ...wtf...if your going to rush 3 atleast have everyone up on the liine and then back out...it was obvious what we were doing there..and pitch n catch.

There were 4 guys just standing there as he caught it almost like they were amazed lol

I would have gone for it. 2 yards to win the game? Go for it every time. Or you deserve to lose.

Here's what happened:

1. FSU pushed the ball down to Miami's 1 yard line with 58 seconds left for a 1st and goal.
2. After the chains are set on first downs, the clock restarts. Manny didn't call a timeout until 12 seconds after the clock restarted and he saw the Seminoles just standing around and not having any urgency.
3. Even after Manny eventually called the timeout, he should have let FSU score the TD (but defend the 2pt attempt) and give the ball back to your offense to try to score a game-tying FG or GW TD.

THIS IS WHY COACHES DON'T GET THEIR FIRST HEAD COACHING JOB AT A MAJOR PROGRAM AND YOU ALLOW THEM TO FIRST GET EXPERIENCE AT PROGRAMS LIKE.........

If it were another defense I would agree but we are so bad at pressuring and we always lose guys when the QB breaks the pocket that I think the result would have been the same. Agree with you on personnel choices (another Manny staple)
