What sets TVD apart is his leadership and ability to optimally adjust to what the defense gives / takes away.

Huh? We are having more QBs playing later into their careers… Rodgers, manning(s), Brady, rivers, brees etc..

TVDs biggest issue is he can’t read a defense… that zone coverage and where he can exploit the defense with the play being ran is his issue

Everyone mentioned also had or has the ability to maneuver in the pocket and buy time. Manning brothers never confused with Vick, but along with smarts reading defense were at least adept at moving off a spot or stepping up in the pocket and extending a play. Don’t see TVD translating to NFL.

I’d be shocked if TVD ever played an NFL game. You think about as an example Kyle Trask for UF who actually showed it on the field that season and he can’t sniff a snap. TVD’s mopey golfing *** lacks most of the intangibles needed when you look across the landscape of QBs who don’t have insane attributes.

TVD didn't ever appear to put the work in to LEARN to be able to read defenses and then go through progressions on the field. The successful QB's in the NFL are excellent at BOTH and a guy like TVD that makes HIS decision on his go to receiver BEFORE the snap will never make it past training camp. Don't see him as ever being a starting QB or long term back up in the NFL. Ward seems like a player.

There isn't a spot on the field that TVD can't throw to. Problem is there's often a defender standing there.

If he can ever get his head right, he'll be a really good QB.

Agreed. When he's on, he is one of the best and an NFL prototypical QB. Problem is the mental side and injuries (which then exacerbate the mental issues even more) are a huge problem. If the change of scenery and fresh start help him overcome it, great, and I'd love to see him succeed. He just used up his time and chances here

The first 4 games TVD looked all world last year. But his 4th down INT vs. FSU kinda summed up where he is.
