He also got bailed out by X on one of those throws. Those throws, against a team worth a ****, you can end up with 2-3 INTs. The good news is that he isn't late when he does that stuff, he doesn't wait too long, his improvisations have a purpose.

When you are playing elite teams, turnovers are what can cost you a championship, or a chance to play for one. I want Cam to be aggressive, but also know that this isn't Wazzu where you have to create from absolutely nothing. Either way, it's a coachable moment for Dawson, it's likely nitpicking, but you need something to talk about in film because Ward was outstanding otherwise.
 
What I saw out there yesterday was an SEC business like smash mouth well disciplined team, with true leaders. At the half the team was going in to the locker room and Cam was still on the bench checking out film. The swamp had no effect on the team whatsoever. It’s going to be a fun season.

There was a poster comparing Cam to Charlie hack when he committed and everyone crapped all over him. I thought the comparison was a good one.

There have been many comparisons made to Cam's game since he entered the transfer portal. Maybe I'm one of the few who is old enough to remember, but when I watch Cam's highlights from WSU, he reminds me of another C. Ward, the 1993 Heisman Trophy winner, Charlie Ward. While sadly a Nole, he was one of the most natural QBs I've ever seen in college. Also, a pretty good point guard...

His calm ability to extend plays was a thing of beauty. He never looked rushed. As long as we continue to play defense like we did this team should be right in the thick of things come season end.

I wouldnt describe Cam as undersized tho.. He legit 6'2 and not skinny or anything..

He’s not 6.2 seeing him in person but but even if he is that’s undersized by NFL standards. Which is fine but I’m comparing him to Charlie who was in that ballpark.
