Cam Ward is HIM

He’s not 6.2 seeing him in person but but even if he is that’s undersized by NFL standards. Which is fine but I’m comparing him to Charlie who was in that ballpark.
You would know better than me so I defer.. But I think he will measure really close to that.. Arron Rodgers/Mahomes are that height and I never heard them as undersized. I know nfl ideal is 6'5 or whatever but undersized to me is 6 feet or less.

They’re 6’2. but they’re also generational arm talents . Also two of the smartest qb’s ever. But Gm’s prefer that 6’4 - 6’5 guy that can move the pocket , make all the throws and can handle pressure / hits. He’s not the prototype so any less I consider undersized by GM standards.

I compare Cam to Charlie because not only are their measurements, play style , physical ability alike they can be reckless at times. They just happen to have the same last name.

Jalen Hurts is 6’1, mahomes is 6’2, Lamar is 6’2, Tua is 6’1, Dak is 6’2, Staffard is 6’3, Caleb is 6’1. There are a few more I could name that are right around Wards height lol

I must’ve missed where I said you can’t get drafted or play in the league undersized , I just said he’s undersized by NFL standards. I’m talking apples and people are arguing pine cones lol. That sounds said most guys that are undersized normally have something that separates them from most guys. Or just makes up for their disadvantages.

Hurts is built like a tank and squats 6 bills while being a very good athlete.

Mahomes is a generational arm talent that’s also very smart.

Lamar is maybe the best or second best athlete ever at that position.

Tua is a bad example beens he’s one more concussion from hospice.

Stafford has an elite arm , one of the best ever. Also has a top shelf quickness in his rellease.

Caleb the Justin’s out but he’s a very good athlete with very good arm talent.

I’ll throw Brees in , he was 5’ll with a below average arm but could throw a ball though a keyhole. And had unlimited arm angles to throw from because of his height issue.

Gm’s want big / tall qb’s for multiple reasons . Durability and throwing over guys 6’5-6’6 feet tall on the DL / Ol being two of the onvious ones.

So yes you can be 6’2, 6’1 and 6’0 to play or be a great qb , but it’s still considered undersized by Gm’s. Charlie and Cam just don’t have prototype size . That was the point.

Having been gone from the boards for years flying down and seeing that Cam Ward performance has resurrected me. **** me he just kept everything so controlled and was all over guys on the sidelines showing his frustration whenever we didn’t get a score or things weren’t perfectly tight (maybe three drives)

Can’t wait for USF

During the game I looked at the Gator with me and said I see Charlie Ward with Cam. Both undersized Qb’s , good arms , good not great athletes that extend plays with crazy arm angles on throws. Then the throw to Jacolby happened and I leaned over and said “ oh , that’s Charlie Ward “. When I get home I was watching ACC PM and Coach Richt said the same exact thing. I haven’t see two more comparable qb’s in my life. I know some don’t like to compare our guys to rivals but this is a no brainer.
Thanks @WestEndZone

I just came here to post the same thing. Y’all been saying it. Richt said it. I definitely see it. Very poised, very smart, very under control. Jimbo is spot on here. He knew where every single player on the field was. One of the most impressive QB performances I’ve ever seen in my life, the more I think about it and watch.

I’ve seen a lot of guys physically dominate. But it’s rare you see a kid have complete control of a football game from the opening snap, and be better than anyone else physically AND mentally. Dude was 1 of 1 on Saturday, for real. That was literally “I’m prepared. I trust my guys. And I know I’m better than you” from the minute he walked on the field. Nothing was rushed, nothing was hurried, nothing was pressed. I’m gonna go do whatever I want on this field and there ain’t a **** thing you can do about it.

OH ****.. I remember the name.. Salute hope all is well..

Look, as a Miami fan, I hardly ever overreact to things. With that being said, at the end of the day, with the current state of the program and being at a crossroads, Cam will end up being the most important single player in the programs history.
