Cam Ward he is not

Honestly, I didn't see enough of him to make a decision. He threw some decent balls, he sometimes threw low balls in short passes. He has enough horsepower to scramble, sometimes it feels like he holds onto the ball a bit too long (which is okay when you have a decent o-line like we do).

2nd half, his main job was to hand the ball off to the back. One of the big passes he made, CJ had to really stretch out and make a circus catch. Sometimes it feels like his release is a bit wonky, maybe that's a surgery hitch, I don't know.

He did good enough to win, and it was obvious that it was really important to win. We'll see down the stretch.

Anway, our CURRENT guy just played a good game against a great defense with no turnovers. Let's RIDE!!!

Beck just isn't as accurate as ward. His deep balls aren't as catchable and even his short throws that are catchable aren't thrown in great spots to allow the receiver to get YAC.

But his TD throw to Malachi was Ward-esque and he is good enough to win the ACC and make a deep playoff run.

Also, this could be the best D we face all year and was probably a better defense than any team Ward faced last year.

He throws a great ball. I didn’t see anything from beck that was bad.

Playcalling and lack of separation from the receivers was the problem.

It didn’t help the refs weren’t calling anything on the defense
ND will likely be be the best secondary we face all season I was actually encouraged by what I saw we were able to make some plays

We lose with Emory tonight. Beck played well. Hit 12/13 at one point. This ND team was legit. Will not lose another game this year (until playoffs)

Jeebus christ this place is full of idiots.

Yes, Cam was awesome and deserving of being 1/1.
He also played a roll in several of the holes he saved us from.

Beck was calm, efficient and just mobile enough to be effective. Efficiency is key if you have a decent D, which it feels like we could, and he will get more comfortable. Gawdam enjoy a solid *** win

Cam Ward is on a higher level than any 2025 QBs. He is a true one of a kind.

But last year's Canes team would lose to this Notre Dame team- and it probably wouldn't have been close. The roster and coaching staff has leveled up this year.
