Cam Ward he is not

He didn’t lose this game against a top 6 opponent. A possibly completed bomb if the CB from Notre Dame doesn’t interfere on the final drive.
ND's corners got away with a few PI's tonight. Maybe our secondary did too, but ND had at least 3 obvious PI's that weren't called. I don't know if the refs relaxed the rules for this game and went back to the 80's, but those PI's where Toney got pulled and pushed should have been automatic flag.

I thought Beck was really good…not perfect, he missed a throw or two but very few QB (including CW) play a game against good defense and put it on the numbers all night. Can make an argument his worst mistake was the TD to Daniels lol

Really excited about this team…Safety is still a concern imo, and we need to get Lyle and Trader healthy for offense to peak. But besides possibly safeties, kicker, LB in coverage (I like our LB in other facts of the game), I really don't see other weaknesses. I mean I wouldn't say WR is a top 10 unit by any means but I don't think it's a weakness.

His worst play was to Daniels. And if not for all the PI by Nd he could’ve had an even better games. Refs missed a lot tonight.

For what it's worth, I don't think there are any current college QBs that are as good as Ward. Carson is not Cam, but he doesn't have to be and did good enough.
Of course not.

The reason this is a debate is because @Peter Ariz decided to talk crazy and before that a small selection of people had the temerity the nerve the unmitigated gall to remark that Emory would make the offense more efficient than Ward.

NO ONE IS CAM!

But I can tell Beck just needs to get a little more comfortable with this offense and the players.

I would let him play a lot next week just to gain more experience after being away from football so long.

He’s a really good QB and I think will be a huge part of why we’ll be successful this season.
