Cam Ward CFB's Best Kept Secret (SIAP)

Semantics MJ is the GOAT because he's not only the best bb player ever he also change the game and made it global.... and the game today may have more skill players, could it be because the game has become soft compared to when MJ played the game?

If its the latter then is that why there is more players that are able to show more of a skill set which make it look different than in the past?
I agree 100%

Who’s to say a guy like Jim Kelly wouldn’t absolutely dominate the NFL today when you can’t hit the quarterback or touch a receiver? Or a guy like Jordan wouldn’t average 40 a game when the defensive rules are far more tightly enforced

Jordan would average atleast 40+ a game in today's NBA....No hand-checking, very little perimeter defense being played, etc....he'd be at the FT line 20 times a game.

I seen enough to know this a different type of qb. I wanted this dude a month before the season was over. Pause
Cause the rumblings of transfer and UM were there. At least a few weeks before the season was over. This dude about to be national news. Going to be great for us the media attention will be crazier then the turn over chain year.
Let’s hope he lights it up and leads us to the promised land, but anointing him the best ever Miami QB is perhaps premature and forgetting Kelly and succession that followed.
hes the goat but in this time there are many more great players to deal with. Its a three ball frenzy now with range almost at half court

my whole point is we never had someone with Cams toolbox EVER

Size of the tool box doesn’t always equate to greatness on game day. Dorsey’s tool box wasn’t the best ever, but tough competitor, smart, leader, game manager and winner. Cam is extremely gifted and hopefully has similar traits. Time will tell.

Are we hyping Cam too much ? Seems like we’re setting ourselves up for some pain
half baked boo GIF

Although he did get a million calls in his favor back in the day. The league overall was way more physical but if you touched Jordan, you got a whistle. But hand checking was allowed so you could at least get away with that. He’d be indefensible today.

I would argue he got a million calls in his favor after he won his first title. Before that, not so much.

He was getting calls before they won the championship. The whole “Jordan Rules” plan by the Detroit Pistons was a reference to how the rules were different for him. They knew he was going to get a ton of calls so they figured if they’re getting called for fouls, might as well foul him as hard as you can.

Please don’t mistake my take for hate. I love Jordan. He’s the reason I started watching basketball as a kid and he’s the unquestioned GOAT. But anyone who wasn’t completely blind saw that he got a ton of special treatment from referees.
