Um so...have you looked at the head coaches from those two schools and noticed the similarities? This might be an unpopular post but it's the reality and if that is what is most important to Calvin then so be it. It's him and his family's choice and whatever their reasons are.
But you are 100% correct, from a football perspective those choices make zero sense for a kid that is serious about playing WR at a high level and showcasing his talents. Maybe he still doesn't choose Miami, but there are a lot better choices than those two if he was my child and had the potential talent that he does.

Sometimes our fans get carried away about not understanding how a kid can leave Miami and live elsewhere

I’m usually a person that points out there’s a lot of nice places to live around the country

Syracuse, NY ain’t one of em

So many of you continue to talk about the weather. Kids don't look at that. If Russell thinks he is playing two sports he won't see the light outside a gym or weight room anyway

I agree with that, and most people don't remember that Syracuse used to be a really good program, gave us fits back 20-30 years ago. That said, I don't think Fran can pull it off. There are too many obstacles to overcome at Cuse to build a winning program in the NIL era. Then what? There's a reason all those kids that went to Nebraska a few years back transferred out. If you're not winning, you don't fit in with the local culture, you're miserable because of the weather, and you're far from home...

If the numbers are accurate - often they’re inflated - and Syracuse blew everyone away, then get a 4-wheel drive SUV, a closet full of cold weather gear and patiently wait for the sun to shine.
