Paranos is right. Whether people want to believe him and others is not particularly relevant insofar as it doesn't change a **** thing. Bama is filthy.

I want a school that closes on elite local talent

..and we do. Stop with the myth about how we get all the top players. Many top SFL talent went to other schools even during our best years, so what do you expect now when another Florida team just won a National Championship, and we also have to compete against the entire SEC which essentially has all of the major football media recruiting for it.

Stop with the excuses. Are we closing on elite talent now? I'm hearing the lack of talent is the excuse

Those aren't excuses, that's reality. We are closing on a lot of elite talent, and that will increase as we return to prominence. If you don't think the NCAA issues and the mediocrity that occurred before Golden played a role in ability to recruit you are delusional. Miami doesn't suddenly become the "it" team for recruits, even local recruits, right away after problems for that long. Additionally, if you don't believe that recruiting is VERY different now than it was back during our glory days, you are again, delusional. There was no magical, mythical conference that every media outlet touted as being "the best" and "THE place to play" back then. Now top kids are choosing even mediocre SEC schools just to be part of the SEC because that's all they hear about any more.

Paranos you sound like an idiot. by that logic you are saying the same thing about Cooper and countless others. Sound like a jilted girlfriend can't understand why a kid would want to play for a powerhouse instead of Fat Al.

How do I sound like an idiot, when I provide visual aids to support my statements. You are just ****ed because I provide tangible evidence while you run your mouth full of conjecture.

Go Canes

Tangible evidence to you are players with cars.

I saw a ****load of players at NIU driving brand new Magnums and Chargers while I was in DeKalb. You think they were getting paid too?

Exactly. Once players that are entering the NFL draft hire agents, they get access to fancy and nice cars. They in turn let their friends and teammates drive these cars. Just because you see something that looks sketchy, doesn't mean it actually is.

Won't get them all but should get the top 5%

They should at least offer and try hard. But you gotta realize that it's not like Miami just gets to line em all up and pick who they want. These are REAL LEGIT programs that come hard after some of these kids. Unless you know for a fact that an elite kid WANTS to play for Miami and is getting snubbed or passed over...and mean top 5% ELITE....then you gotta allow for the possibility that a kid maybe just doesnt wanna play here or doesnt want to nut up to whatever competition is already there. Now that in no way explains the god**** lack of defensive studs cuz their aint no existing stud already playing...

Recruiting is way more "nationwide" than it used to be. And when SFLA is such a hotbed of talent...more and more schools are gonna come here and recruit...it's just a fact. You ARE going to lose more kids just based on the sheer QUANTITY and QUALITY of competing schools trying to pull from the same pool of kids.....bottom line.

What "nightmare", other than the fanbase?
