Many top SFL talent went to other schools even during our best years, so what do you expect now when another Florida team just won a National Championship, and we also have to compete against the entire SEC which essentially has all of the major football media recruiting for it.

Those aren't excuses, that's reality. We are closing on a lot of elite talent, and that will increase as we return to prominence.
If you don't think the NCAA issues and the mediocrity that occurred before Golden played a role in ability to recruit you are delusional. Miami doesn't suddenly become the "it" team for recruits, even local recruits, right away after problems for that long. Additionally, if you don't believe that recruiting is VERY different now than it was back during our glory days, you are again, delusional. There was no magical, mythical conference that every media outlet touted as being "the best" and "THE place to play" back then. Now top kids are choosing even mediocre SEC schools just to be part of the SEC because that's all they hear about any more.
