I was one in the minority on the trade. I was over the guy awhile ago. Both sides mishandled communication but the money he’s paid and being a liability on defense was absurd. We didn’t get much from the trade but SF is eating that contract now. On top of that we have all our young studs up now and the chemistry is so much better . The team has really gelled this lads *** left the clubhouse. Rafaella , Anthony , Mayer , Bello and Campbell is a great young nucleus mixed with Crochet , Bregman , Duran and even former Cane Romy Gonzalez who his been a great addition .

Freed up money to invest in missing pieces via deadline or offseason move(s). Glad he is out of the East, but it was a good move by Boston.

We’ve been linked to Joe Ryan who still has 2.5 years left on his contract . He’d be a great piece to add before the deadline . That would make our rotation next level. We’ll likely have to give up one of our outfielders like Duran and Arias is minors . I’d like to throw Houck in since th rotation is getting deep with Ryan

Felt the same way despite being a Devers fan for some time. Also hearing similar sentiment regarding the kids.

And have always liked Bregman, continue to hear he’s a great clubhouse guy, he is perfect for the rest to grow up under.

Happy for Bodine to get into the first round. Used to do lessons with him/his team when he was 9/10. His baseball iq for that age was off the charts.

I am of the mindset that the Yankees should take a "does this move get us past the Dodgers" approach in terms of their limited prospect resources. While understanding they will not mail it in, and still need to compete with the strong east and AL competitors.

ie: Don't trade Lombard Jr for a bag of ****s.
