Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean it's correct and everyone else is being irrational.

By your logic, any coach around the age of 63 can't recruit. That's absurd. As others have stated, the assistants do most of the legwork. They're the ones constantly tweeting and stuff like that. The head coach sets the tone and acts as the closer.

Plus I think the time off has invigorated Butch. He laments walking away from a potential dynasty, and he has unfinished business.

We have a in over his head blob indirectly begging to be fired and we have the architect of the greatest collection of talent ever assembled in college football indirectly begging for the job. Unbelievable.

It's crazy cuz only us the real intelligent football smart fans know Butch is a boss. SEC folk and others like Fsu say Butch is old cuz they scared as *** they know what it is. It's like u got a new car with a bumb *** Duracell battery engine and u got a free engine on your doorstep and someone wants to install it for u and u say nah man. These clowns r crazy, Butch would make the school mad guap too.
 
We saw the same thing from the admin with coker and shannon. It was painfully obvious that Coker had lost the team by the LSU Peach Bowl debacle. That should have been the end for him. It was painfully obvious that Shannon had lost the team long before that final season and by not firing him sooner they allowed him to essentially quit recruiting and leave Golden basically an empty cupboard of recruits that year. It's obvious that Golden has lost this team, that he doesn't want to be here and that he has hit his ceiling. The admin can finally for once try to keep from being hopelessly behind the curve, or it can just do what they've been doing for 10 years which is too little and too late.

What are people's thoughts on Butch with S&C? I swore when I saw UNC play LSU that UNC looked as built up as did LSU.

The way I understand it is that Butch recruits the best athletes he can get - rather than just recruit position players - and of course unlike Golden, Butch pushes for quickness, speed, and endurance. Not to say strength is unimportant - but not at the expense of the other three.
