Great interview overall, but one thing that really stuck out were his comments about the offensive line.
Butch said he always had talented skill position players at Miami, and that was never an issue. But what brought them to the next level, and what he believes turns an 8-9 win team into a title contender is the offensive line.
He said it wasn't until they got Bibla, McKinnie, Romberg, Sherko and Joaquin all next to each other and rolling that they made the leap into a great team. You have to be able to control games, the clock, and dominate with your OL, or you'll never be great.
We all knew it starts in the 'trenches, guysm!?!' But it was cool to hear his thoughts, and also disturbing because as he was talking, I had flashbacks of Gadbois and Isadora getting thrown 15 yards backwards.
