How am I a "slurper"? I want Golden gone as bad as anyone but I understand how businesses are run and college football is a business.

Let me explain how your points are wrong and this is not only my opinion but by the actions we are seeing.

1) She has no clout with the board? Ok, if so why is Golden still here? Majority of the board does not want Golden any longer but ultimately this is her call. Period. She is in charge and will not make a decision on the HC, she will wait for the next President to do this. She is spending time on other parts of her job and does not want to spend time with the HC of football. Again, if I'm wrong, why is Golden still here? Because of our record?
2) Exactly, your proving what I'm saying. She does not want to spend time with the HC of football.
3) You must not know any CEO or President of a company. They have huge ego's....it's all about them. I'm not sure of Shalala's next goal (maybe something in politics) but she is not worried about the record of our football program. She is worried about graduation rates and moving herself as far away from the scandal we went through.
4) You are completely wrong here. Again, the board would prefer Golden gone now but will not happen.
5) You really believe a HC will be hired within months of a new President coming in? Sadly you are mistaken. Why do you think Golden has already been told his job was safe? I mean who is backing him other than the President? The board? The fan base? The local media? Who is keeping Golden here?
6) Asses in seats???? Do you go to games? The only people currently going are the diehards who will continue to go, some current students, and fans that don't live in the area and travel to Miami for a vacation and go to the game as part of that.

I 100% want Golden gone and cannot stand his passive approach. I want a coach who is constantly attacking and playing to win and not to lose but I understand business and how it is run. You can disagree with me all you want but no fact is showing your right.

Reality is Butch Davis will not be hired as HC at Miami until Shalala is gone. Shalala will not hire a HC knowing she is out the doors after the school year. She would not appreciate someone throwing a new HC on her and she won't do it to her replacement.

No one cares about what Donna appreciates, or doesn't. Her legacy is under a "cloud". Why is this Donna's call? I believe it's the BOT's call, 100%.

1. Donna is heading for the exit. She has no clout with the BOT, on this fact alone. Why would the BOT let an outgoing failure make another bad call.
2. Donna doesn't care about putting out the effort for a good hire (and, simply lacks the judgement) - proven by history (Eichorst, Flake, Shannon, Goldie). She'll have no say in any HC matter.
3. The needs of the University supersede hers.
4. The BOT will direct her in what to say and when. If she doesn't like it, they'll start her vacation early. Flake Puppet can handle the chore with a written script.
5. Unless they intend on hiring a football savvy President (highly doubtful), he/she isn't going to care who the HC is. Even if they do, the new HC will be in place.
6. Timing is everything. The BOT should be lined up in front of a firing squad if they let the present situation stew for another year. They will lose the fan base, the asses in seats, and their money.

It is not solely her call and since her mother died she is asleep at the wheel and cares less about football than before. Donna Shalala hates Golden more than most. He still has some ardent supporters on the BOT. The end.
