Alabama: 69 out of the 84 players on their roster were either 4 or 5 stars in high school. The rest were mostly punters and fullbacks.

That's 82% of their entire roster that's 4/5 star kids.


How is it impressive in any way to win with that kind of stacked talent? How does Nick Saban get credit in your eyes as a talent evaluator?

Alabama is a recruiting machine. That's why they win. It's not coaching, and it's not evaluation.

1. Saban is responsible for bringing in that talent. Did he have that type of talent when he won an NC at LSU?

2. Saban went 12-2 his second year at Alabama and 14-0 his third year. That's immediate impact, much too soon for his "bought players" to make a legitimate difference.

1.) If he didn't, then he's not the recruiter you claim he is. If he did, then he's not the coach you claim he is.

2.) Three years of buying players is enough to completely overturn the roster.

Saban has a couple college coaches. A couple of them, Fisher and Dantonio, are nice coaches. Smart and Pruitt haven't done **** yet so don't try to talk them up.

Objectively, Butch's coaching tree is just better. More of them, and NFL = more impressive than college.
