1. our OL talent was mediocre.

2. we had little, (if any), depth.

3. you can't make chicken salad out of chicken sh*t

4. enos hurt the OL much more than he helped it.

all that being said, barry did little to help his cause. no one is asking butch berry to take Nevaughn Donaldson and turn him into Leon Searcy overnight, however, a good coach takes D players and at least coaches them up to be C performers. he didn't even do that.

To me enos hurt barry more than barry. Long developing plays etc, QBs holding the ball too long. Here is what we dont know. Manny came out and said they started the freshman because they were building for the future. Did he have them play all those guys instead of scaife outside because they were looking at a 2-3 year rebuild and then pivot once the heat was on??

Well, he did pull Rivers.
Listening to a podcast now with Jalen Rivers and he said that if Barry goes, that may give him some pause. Not a deal breaker fully.
Kid does seem to be wired into joining the program though.

Rivers is already signed. He's an early enrollee. Should already be on campus. I doubt he'd leave the program if Barry is let go.

You know you gotta wonder if going 7-6 last year and 6-7 this year would make it hard for Barry to recruit?

Two years ago it was Searles so Mack Brown hires him. This year its Barry. Maybe a large part of the problem is a lack of O line talent. So if Barry is out we now go to a 3rd option in three straight years. Not good.

Guy had no interest in recruiting...Gotta fire him.

Didn’t make it too hard for Hickson to bring in two to the best backs in the country. If anything he should be able to sell the idea of early PT because of how bad the line was this year.

Canes have more Oline going pro than Clemson in the past few years

the difference...one school knows how to coach...one school doesn't

Our guys let Jarren Williama get sacked 10 times with months of preparation.

Not weeks. Months.

That game was the vote of 'no confidence' for me.

No brainer he should've been fired.

Remember when our defensive line played like ****, and we brought in a top drawer defensive line coach? Then, the defense was a lot better?

The same with the offensive line.

It's one of the oldest adages of football; it all starts up front. No offensive line, no offense. You can do certain things to hide the defeciencies (run spread, option, cut blocking, etc.), but if you don't, you need quality linemen and a quality coach behind them.

Barry is probably let go from the position and Manny will hire him as good COS. Then this board will meltdown
